“Light of the World don wake”

But since you’ve been born you’ve never shared the Gospel with anyone. No one has ever come to Christ through you.

You only post motivational quotes and occasionally, share “Christian content” on your status.

Or when a popular Christian influencer gets married you start posting “Kingdom marriage” upandan. (I’m coming for you pipo)

Have you ever sat to think… “What did the Bible mean when it said I am the light of the world” ?

Sometimes it’s like we forget that Mathew 5:14 has 15 and 16 😂

Let me help you sister:

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Shalom! Light of the world 😅

3 books to read that’ll dramatically change the quality of your life

… if you read and implement the content of its pages.

I’ve added a few side notes to each book recommendation and what you should expect:

1. Mini habits

- Author: Stephen Guise
- What to expect: This book introduced me to the science of starting “small”. By focusing on tiny habits that feel easy to accomplish, I found that I could build momentum without feeling overwhelmed. Now I crush my goals almost 90% of the time!

2. The 80/20 individual

- Author: Richard Koch
- What to expect: Koch’s insights into the Pareto Principle helped me realize that a small portion of my efforts could lead to the majority of my results. This shift in thinking allowed me to prioritize my time and energy more effectively, leading to significant improvements in my productivity and satisfaction.

3. Atomic habits

- Author: James Clear
- What to expect: Clear’s framework for building good habits and breaking bad ones resonated deeply with me. His idea that tiny changes can lead to significant results has helped me create lasting behavioral shifts in my life. This book is a good follow-up read for the Mini habits book.

What will you add to this list? And what’s your favorite read for 2024 so far?

Dear newbie,

Don’t work for FREE

Is what goo’Roos tell you after building a solid 7 figure business.

Listen,

Do not accept any advice on social media that lacks context. Context is what determines what advice applies to you.

Case in point; you’re a newbie copywriter, you took a couple courses and watched a few YouTube videos. You have zero experience.

As the gurus will usually advise, you start posting “content” on LinkedIn and “positioning” yourself as an expert.

Then a prospect reaches out to you for potential work and discovers you have little to no real life experience.

Then asks for a free trial run.

But you decline because you “know your worth”

For real? What are you really worth?

I think veteran copywriters and such mentors need to revaluate what we feed these “mentees”

Else, we will raise a breed of conceited individuals who lack skin in the game. Only having inflated egos and unreasonable expectations from a life they have not properly invested in.

Do better!

Again. This is context-specific.

Do with this information as you see fit.

Living in beautiful Isolation…

I’ve been thinking on this.

For surely, we will give account of Gods resources. We will be judged greatly by how much of his ‘resources’ we utilized.

When I think of the parable of the Talents. I see how many fail to realize that we are exactly in the same position as the servant who called his master WICKED.

The difference is…

We still have time.

Yomi, what are you doing with the power of God?

Or are you living in beautiful isolation?

Is anyone touched by your love? Your fervor ?

Or are you simply “devoted to God” and potentially useless?

Isolation in this context will mean doing nothing to bring about a greater influence of Jesus in your sphere.

I owe it to the world demonstrations of Gods power. I owe the world a debt of Love.

A vital relationship with God will drive you to the streets.

No man “touches God” and goes back home.

Think about it.

This one mistake almost cost my friend a $10k deal with a marketing agency…

Don’t make the same mistake if you’re a copywriter:

Too many marketers and copywriters make the "big bold promise" mistake.

Listen.

Making big bold claims that are unbelievable doesn't always work.

Why promise what NO ONE will believe?

I'm sure you've heard marketers who claim to make ton of leads or cash because of a big bold claim.

But you adopted this and figured your lead generation is no better than a pile of 💩?

It's because you can't build your enter sales message on a promise/offer that's UNBELIEVABLE.

I mean... what's the point?

Why make claims no one believes?

Do you know how exactly the human mind reads unbelievable claims?

"Must be a scam"

"Nah, click bait"

"Why didn't this land in spam?"

"This is unbelievable! Can't possibly happen"

"Yeah, right..."

That's the WORST kind of response you can get from a marketing campaign.

So dear marketer/copywriter,

Make claims that are BELIEVABLE.

Yes, the bigger, the bolder, the better,

Yet,

Make it clear and believable.

Shogbo?

Stay passionate.

My winning 7-figure cold email template

I’ve successfully used this template to close multiple 6 and seven figure deals.

Here’s are a few things you must do if this’ll work for you:

- DYOR: Do your research. Ensure you actually do the work of digging into their problems before you send a DM.
- Personalize: “Hello everyone” is a lot less impactful than “Hello Yomi”, so personalization is key. And sometimes it means establishing connection BEFORE you pitch your solution (Note I did not say services)

Here’s the template:

“Hi (Name),

I came across (company) after engaging with a few of your posts on (X platform)

You have (in my opinion) (compliment the product and her work)

But there are (specific number) things I came across, and think you can do to improve the (problem you’re trying to solve + what they really want to achieve) for your company.

If you’re interested we could get on a 5 minute call where I’ll share all the problems I’ve identified and how we can fix them.

>> I’ve highlighted 3 below:

- (Blah blah blah)

In case you’re wondering why you may want to invest your precious time talking to me, I’m a positioning strategist and conversion copywriter for early stage Saas/tech companies with 30+ companies in my portfolio.

I’ve attached a link to my LinkedIn (feel free to check out my recommendations and client websites for context)

I hope to hear from you soon. 🙂

Regards,

Yomi
