A photograph is more than just an image captured in time; it is a vessel of thought, memory, and silent emotion. Behind every photograph lies a story untold — a fleeting second that the eyes may forget but the heart preserves. It freezes not only faces and places but also the unseen essence: the laughter behind a smile, the ache hidden in an expression, the atmosphere of a moment that words cannot fully describe.

A photograph is thought made visible. It allows us to reflect, to question, to relive. It speaks without speaking, reminding us that every frame holds a world of feelings, interpretations, and meanings. In its stillness, it carries movement; in its silence, it carries echoes.

Looking at a photograph is like looking into the soul of time — a reminder that what we see is not just the surface, but a thought preserved forever in light.

A young man from Benue called Terver Orphega who is the manager of second pot restaurant along Lobito crescent wuse 2 Abuja has c0mmitted s*icde.

Report has it he became depressed after securing a business loan and was unable to payback due to harsh economic environment and hardship with doing business.

He drank sn*per mixed with other concoctions after lodging at a hotel somewhere in garki. His co**se has been identified by the police and now at the morgue.

S*icide is never an option, people are really going through a lot.

However, why would someone keel himself because he has not not been able to pay back loan?

For me, financial education is beyond just learning how to make, manage and multiply Money

It also involves KNOWING that the loaning institution still needs you to be alive

You need to be alive for them, so you can pay back the loan with interest

They need the principal capital and especially the INTEREST as much as you need the loan.

Not being able to pay back loan is not a crime.

Discuss with your loaning institution on how to restructure the loan for you.

Do everything within your power to pay back

If in any case you are not able to pay back

Please do go and keel yourself

Do not run away from your creditor

Do not block their number

Infact keep communicating with them, explaining to them how difficult it has been for you to raise the money and payback.

Will they give you an accolade for that? No!

Infact, they would pretend as if they didn't hear your explanations,

They will put more pressure on you to pay back

My dear, DO NOT SUCCUMB TO THOSE PRESSURE.

It's in their right to put pressure on you

It's also in your Right to develop coping mechanisms to withstand the pressure, I am telling you

Otherwise, you would end up doing crazy things

Learn to withstand and neutralize the pressure for your own good o.

In summary, my point is: No financial institution WILL and CAN kill you because you are owing them

But please, do not kil

‘Mummy calm down’: Husband’s story contradicts neighbours’ narrative of wife’s ‘su***de

NigerianEyeNov 12, 2023 10:08 AM

What Lawal, the husband of Toluige Olokobi Babalola, who went viral in the popular ‘Mummy Calm Down’ video, told the Police about her purported su***de contradicts what the neighbours narrated.

One of the points of disagreement is the rope with which she reportedly committed su***de.

Recall that in 2021, the woman and her son became internet sensations after a video showed the little boy on his knees frantically begging his mother after offending her.

In the video, the little boy was seen crying and begging his mother to “Be calming down and rest a little”.

However, on Tuesday this week, a user on X (Twitter) disclosed that Toluige committed su***de in Benin, Edo State, for unknown reasons.

Confusing stories

Speaking on the issue at the Edo State Police Command Headquarters in Benin City, the Police Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, said the husband’s account of what happened and that of the neigbhours differed.

Therefore, he added, the Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Dankwara, has ordered investigation into the issue.

Nwabuzor said: “On November 8, the husband, by name Lawal, reported to the Evbuotubu Division in Benin City, Edo State.

“He said that he returned from the market and met his two-year-old child, Ife Lawal, crying.

“immediately, he burst the door open and saw the wife on a rope tied to the ceiling. So he loosened it and cried out to the neighbours.

“They came and accompanied him to the hospital where the wife was confirmed dead and they deposited the body at a hospital mortuary in Benin City.

“Thereafter, he went to the Evbuotubu Police Station to report the incident.

“The DPO went with his operatives to the house, where they recovered the rope and su***de note allegedly written by the late woman.
“From there, the DPO went down with him to the hospital to check the body of the deceased for mark of violenc
