I woke up yesterday morning to the news that you have left us... Had to wake my wife up and tell her, "hear this shocking and unbelievable news," indeed she was shocked.
After my dad, you were another person I thought would never die... or at least not at 48.
You started your career serving my dad.. Years later, and even after his demise, you have been my mentor and played the role of an elder brother.
You were like a guardian angel to me cos anytime we spoke, was an opportunity to retract my steps and focus.. that is, if I was going astray already. You counselled me on life, living, family and business.
You were one person that could send for me at the shortest of notices and I wouldn't have any excuses but to show up. And whenever I reached out to you, you were never too busy to see me or even listen to me.
You frequently checked up on me even if I didn't call for a period. You called me and my wife on the 6th December, a day after our wedding anniversary to greet us.. We gisted for close to an hour.. infact, we usually have long gifts whenever we talk.
You had great respect for my dad in life and in death. That respect you extended to me and my siblings... and now my wife and son.. I needed panelists for the first webinar our security association had during the covid in May 2020, it took less than a minute call to get your consent and you showed up big time for me.
You supported me everytime I ran the Security Management trainings. Infact, I remember one of such trainings when I contemplated cancelling, you just showed up and gave me a good number of participants despite the price of the training (over 600k). And that singular act, made the training hold.
When we were in Otukpo together for a burial, you introduced me to 2 books by Expert Secrets and Dotcom Secrets which I have today and have read. Thank you for this exposure.
We rode for about 3 hours together from Otukpo to the airport in Enugu and it definitely was not a dull moment. And I was just asking from one question to the other.. and believe me, all my questions were answered. You always shared your plans with me anytime we had opportunity to talk.
You are the King but always treated me like the King.
I attended , an annual event you organise where over 10,000 youths are gathered. I was marvelled. Whenever I needed some inspiration, I go to your page and watch your videos.
I could go on and on and on... but I really dont know why you have to go now.. I am really pained. I still have stuff to discuss with you.. Well, I always have stuff to discuss with you.
I pray for the repose of your soul. I pray for your immediate family, your wife and kids.. your staff, many of whom have become close friends with me.. and all of us including the many people home and abroad that you have impacted on directly or indirectly.. God give us the strength to forge on with life knowing that you have indeed left the stage.
I am still crying as I write this. I so much miss you already.. the youths will miss you.. and the world will miss you. Even though you are gone, you will continue to live on.
