What if the journey to mastering AI automation or any other skill wasn't just about learning tools but about finding the resilience to keep going, even when it feels too hard?

It’s been four weeks since I started my AI automation training at Koka Academy Ltd, and honestly, it’s been a rollercoaster.

I used to think that, with my background in Zendesk and automation that I’d easily breeze through this. But wow, it’s been so much harder than I expected.

I’ve had nights where sleep was just a dream, and days where I couldn’t keep up with assignments.

Juggling family, business, and this growth has stretched me thin. But every struggle reminds me why I’m doing this. I’m learning not just to automate tasks, but to create operational systems that can truly help businesses grow.

Most event teams still spend too much time manually cleaning registrations, checking duplicate entries, and organizing attendee data.

So I built a Zapier automation that:
• cleans and formats attendee data automatically
• filters qualified registrations
• prevents duplicate records in Airtable
• sends instant Slack notifications to the event team
• and creates a separate VIP workflow for premium attendees

The goal was simply to reduce manual work, improve operational efficiency, and create a smoother registration process from start to finish 🚀

Hi, my name is Uzoamaka Ruth Igwe

I’m an aspiring AI Revenue Operations & Automation Specialist passionate about helping service-based businesses and agencies reduce manual work, organize operations, and respond to leads faster using smart systems and automation.

As part of my ongoing AI Automation training Koka Academy Ltd, I recently built a simulated CRM & Operations System for a Marketing Agency using Airtable.

The goal of the system was simple:

A lot of businesses lose leads because their operations are scattered, slow follow-ups, messy client tracking, poor visibility, and too many manual processes.

So I designed a structured backend system to help solve that.

Inside the system, I created:
✅ Lead tracking pipeline
✅ Revenue tracking
✅ Client follow-up workflows
✅ Team assignment structure
✅ Kanban & calendar views
✅ Automated-style operational structure
✅ Filtered and grouped lead views
✅ Formula-based tracking system

Tools used:
Airtable

What I’m beginning to realize is that I genuinely enjoy building systems that make businesses run smoother behind the scenes.

Not just using tools but designing workflows that reduce bottlenecks and improve operations.

And honestly? Seeing everything come together and work properly was super satisfying.

Still learning.
Still growing.
Still building.

But this already feels aligned with the direction I truly want to grow into.

So I officially started my AI Automation training this week Koka Academy Ltd, and to be honest, this one really feels different.

Finding my path in the tech space hasn’t been a straight journey.
I’ve tried different paths in tech before. Some I started and stopped halfway.
Not because I didn’t want it badly enough, but because deep down, it didn’t align with me.

But this time around, this feels like something I actually enjoy.

I totally love the idea of building systems that:
✔ Capture leads
✔ Automate tasks
✔ And just work

Like you set it up once, and it keeps running.

That part sweet me die 😄

So instead of overthinking it this time, I’ve decided to just focus, learn, and build.

And yes, I’ll be sharing my journey as I go.
