Bandits reportedly b+h£ad Teacher abd¥cted in Oyo schools att@ck in dist¥rbing video

Michael Oyedokun, one of the teachers abd¥cted from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has reportedly lost his life.

G¥nmen had stormed the school on Friday, May 15, abd¥cting the principal, other teachers, and several students.

The tragic incident came weeks after a failed k+dnap attempt along the Ibadan-Ijebu road that reportedly claimed a traveler’s life, raising more concerns over insecurity in parts of Oyo State.

Reports say a disturbing video released by the k+dnapoers on Sunday allegedly showed Oyedokun being b£h+aded, sparking fresh fears for the safety of the remaining victims still in captivity.

The development has thrown the community into mourning, with residents and families calling on security agencies and the Oyo State Government to intensify rescue efforts before more lives are lost.

“My husband has refused to sign the divorce papers for me. If he does not sign them, the authorities will dep0rt me back to Nigeria. That is why I came here to beg him today.

I have tried my best and begged him repeatedly. I followed him around pleading, but he still refused to sign. He told me to stop making a scene and that I should tell people what I did.

We had a little argument, which led to me asking for a divorce. I got it, forgetting that I hadn’t gotten my citizenship yet.

I am not here to cause any trouble or make a scene. I just want him to sign the papers so I can stay in the UK. If he wants to go back to Nigeria, he can go, but I do not want to be dep0rted.

I have begged and begged him, but there is nothing more I can do. He is not willing to help me even after everything.

I came here today specifically to beg him to sign so that my stay can be secured. I have tried everything possible, but he walked away and refused.

Imagine marrying a man you thought was a medical doctor with a good life, and coming to the USA to realize he was sharing an apartment with a roommate. In a few months, you guys are sleeping in his office because he could not make rent. You are pregnant, and you realize giving birth in the USA is not free like they told you. You had to pay around $5,400 to deliver a baby. The man had no clear plan for securing the money for the baby delivery. You turn back to your talent, dancing. You went out on the streets of Los Angeles dressed in a “Cat woman” suit to dance and get tips from people. It felt undignified. You come home and tell your husband what the hustle was, and his response was, “You can do this babe,” with no sign of help. No one was coming to save you. You took your life in your hands. You went to the street and danced for 4 months. On good days, you made $700 a day. You raised the initial money for your delivery. The whole time, people online thought you were living the dream. You had to have a home birth for your second child, which you streamed online so you could save money. Home births are cheaper than hospital births. You packaged a broke man as a doctor doing well in the USA. That is who Korra Obidi is. A wife material that many cannot relate to, dancing through her pain, showing up, fighting poverty in the most beautiful form, the type of poverty that many people back home cannot even imagine. Imagine sleeping on a massage table. When people judge this woman, laugh. When it gets to your turn, don’t use your talent to fight out of international poverty. It is one thing to be poor in Nigeria; at least you will see who will help you. Try being poor in the USA; your eye go first blurrrrr. Nobody go look your face, even family and friends. E no dey hard people to block number here. You will become like a person with leprosy.…..

OGUN POLICE FOIL TRUCK HIJACKING, RECOVER VEHICLE AND WOODEN-FABRICATED RIFLE WRAPPED WITH BLACK TAPE IN IJEBU IMUSHIN

Detectives of the Ijebu Imushin Division, Ogun State Police Command, have foiled a truck hijacking incident and successfully recovered a stolen DAF truck as well as a wooden-fabricated rifle wrapped with black tape.

The incident was reported in the early hours of Wednesday, 6th May 2026, following a distress call by a driver who was accosted while conveying motor spare parts.

Preliminary findings revealed that the driver was intercepted by suspected hoodlums at the Oke-Ado area of Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, where the truck was forcefully taken from him.

Upon receipt of the report, detectives, in collaboration with highway patrol operatives, swiftly mobilized to the scene, forcing the suspects to abandon the truck and flee under pressure.

The prompt intervention of the police effectively thwarted the criminal operation and prevented the loss of property.

The driver, who sustained minor injury to his right ankle during the incident, was promptly administered first aid treatment.

A thorough search of the recovered truck led to the discovery of a wooden-fabricated rifle wrapped with black tape, used by the suspects in the operation.

Operatives are actively tracking the fleeing suspects with a view to their swift arrest and prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, commends the swift and professional response of the operatives and reassures the public of the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of all road users and residents.

PHOTONEWS: From Courtroom to Resistance A Day That Shook the System

The struggle intensified today at the Federal High Court in Abuja, where proceedings in my trial for calling Bola Ahmed Tinubu a criminal reached a decisive point with the adoption of our no-case submission. From there, we moved swiftly within the same court complex to stand in solidarity with whistleblower Justice Chidiebere, widely known as Justice Crack, whose persecution has become a symbol of state repression.

What began as a legal battle quickly transformed into direct civic action, as we proceeded to occupy the offices of the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, confronting the machinery of injustice head-on. The events of the day reverberated beyond the courtroom, striking at the very foundations of oppression.

What a day one that underscores that resistance is not theoretical; it is lived, fought, and carried forward in real time.

“Reports came to me that I was going to be appointed as INEC Youth Ambassador. I have never felt as proud of myself when I got that message

This is supposed to be a national honour. I do not know how to feel about it, but it brought me tears of joy when I thought about how far I have come

I asked a simple question. I said, ‘Am I going to still be able to criticise INEC if I’m appointed?

They told me they have seen the type of content I do. All of that can still go on. As a matter of fact, I can even preach about getting PVCs and all of that. However, I cannot criticise directly INEC

The moment I heard that, what seemed like congratulations disappeared. I wish it did not come with certain conditions to box my voice

My passion is rooted in so many things. First, tears of millions of Africans. Second, messages I get from different parts of Africa about governance. Thirdly, my background where I came from and what I have seen

The pressure is worse when I am doing nothing. Those voices keep resounding, and that is what drives me

If you have a platform today and you do not compromise, always remember there are millions of people whose hope is on that voice. That voice is not just yours....."

– Nigerian skitmaker and satire content creator Kevin Chinedu, widely known for his “Governor Amuneke” persona, has revealed why he turned down an offer to serve as a youth ambassador for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
