4 Questions To Ask Before Starting Any Business, Either Online Or Offline

As a business consultant, I take delight in teaching people about business...

That is why I sharing this with you today

In order to start a business that would be profitable, you need to ask yourself these 4 questions

Here are they below;

1. Is there a market for the business opportunity?

Are there people who are willing to buy the product or service represented by the business opportunity?

Have these people been proven to buy similar stuff?

If the answer to any of these questions is, “No”, then please forget it and move on.

2. Is it scalable?

Can you sell it to hundreds of people? Then thousands and hundreds of thousands, even millions of people every day if you had the means to do so?

For example, water is a product that can be sold to millions of people daily, so a business opportunity around it is scalable.

If the answer to the question, “is it scalable?” is NO, don’t touch it.

3: Does the idea behind the business opportunity solve a real problem?

Every profitable business must solve a problem. If not, then it is not profitable.

Is it a problem people are eager or desperate to solve?

If it does not solve a problem, just leave it!

4: Can a lot of money be made?

This is the major factor you have to consider. That is why many people fail in business, not because they are not hardworking, but because the business they are in, is what I call, a “small change” business.

A good example of a small change business is the selling of recharge cards business. Imagine a profit of N8 per card, for so much work and effort put in.

Do you know that it takes the same amount of time to make =N=300 profit as it will take to make =N=3,000 naira profit?

If I told you to choose, which one would you go for, =N=300 or =N=3,000?

You see what I mean. That’s it. Before you choose a business opportunity, you have to Choose Well!

Ask yourself, 'What Would Be Left As Profit For Me After Every Expense Accounted For?"

"Would It Be Enough To Run The Business In Case Of Any Mishaps?"

"Would it be able to take care of my basic needs without hurting my capital?"

If the answers are NO to any of the questions or your profits are not up half of your initial capital, then I suggest you drop that business right now and start looking for another business and follow this same process.

Now that you have seen all of these, you might be a little bit confused about which of these businesses to start.

.."that is not a good idea, that is a Do-It-For-Me approach and all you’re going to get from it is a failure, .... You'll wake up one day only to find that they have simply taken your money and disappeared."

And I'm also telling you right now, don't do it at all if you have been presented with one.

Mistake Number 2:
Trying To Do Too Many Business At The Same Time

I know you have definitely heard the saying that goes;

'Do NOT Put All Your Eggs In ONE Basket!'

I personally feel this saying doesn't apply in business. Please don't take it personally if you live your life by that code.

When most people want to bring more income into their lives, what do they do?

They try to start MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME ALL AT ONCE, which is not putting all their eggs in one basket to say.
.. if a hunter wants to kill bushmeat for food and he sees 3 of them together, will he use his gun, trying to kill the 3 at once or will he focus on one of the birds and shoot it with 100% accuracy?

That is the fastest way to failure and bankruptcy.

If you really want to build a profitable business and make money on a steady basis, focus on one business idea that will give you the highest returns for the least effort.

Think about this for a second ...

As Nigerians that we are, once any business becomes popular and makes the owner a good amount of cash, every Akpan, Bode & Jamiu wants to do that same business.

For instance, take a good look at the Mini Importation business.

The moment it became popular and a profitable venture, everyone, including their Grandmother, wants to become mini-importers.

And with over-saturation comes over competition thereby causing too many people to fight for customers with the low pricing of their products.

For instance, there was once a time when Uk Used Blackberry Bold 5 was close to N50,000, but now due to over-saturation, this phone can be purchased for as low as N10,000, if not less.

See what I mean?

So whether you compile a well-developed business plan or have the best state-of-the-art facilities, if there is over-saturation, I'm sorry my friend, that business is doomed to failure.

So I have just shared with you, 3 underlying reasons that really make businesses fail.

I'M EMPTY

You know a house is empty when you say a word and your own words echo back at you

If a container is empty you can put in anything to fill up that space

That's not the case when a container is filled or a house has properties and occupants in it

This is how our bodies, brains and hearts are.

Take the case of your body, if there is no food, it will react and give signals that it is hungry then you will need to get food to eat

The same way is how the brain works. If you don't feed it then sorry for you, you will be empty.

You can't contribute meaningfully to a discussion or a matter

On a serious note, this is how I feel

For some days, I have not read any book

I am currently reading two books "How to turn yourself into a Life Breathing Cash Machine" by Toyin Omotoso and "How to sell to Nigerians" by Hon Akin Alabi

These are men I admire in the online business world so reading their books excite me

But seriously I have felt empty like a barrel because I have not filled my brain with its food

Though I have been undergoing a learning process for my online business

Being going through some courses on Facebook and Instagram Adverts and thank God I got what I wanted due to my persistence and determination

So I will go back to reading my books and filling my brain with useful information so I can share it with you

Apart from that, I have been watching the movie "The Godfather" and I am learning some things about a business from that movie

I don't know why it's hard for me to come up with content after work hours

Well somehow I think I know

I have drained myself all through the day at work and so I won't even be able to think fast and put up content that is okay to my conscience

So most times I wish I could just get a writing assistant to help with this duty but the person will not convey my thoughts and emotions as I want to put it into writing

Well that aside, It's a Friday and I am happy to say TGIF

Why?

Because as an affiliate marketer, I get paid my commissions today,

So why won't I be happy?

Oh yes, I am happy.

I and other hardworking affiliate marketers got paid

I decided to tow this path because having just one source of income is not for a young man like me with responsibilities

I saw the way things were just getting hard, the economy gets rough, prices are going higher every day
