LANI Consulting was privileged to participate in a four-day intensive capacity-building programme on Reintegration, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Case Management, PSEA, Finance, and Monitoring & Evaluation, led by IOM - UN Migration
Over the course of the programme, one message stood out clearly: reintegration is not only economic; it is equally social, psychosocial, ethical, and grounded in accountability.
Day 1 focused on holistic reintegration and the central role of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). This included recognising distress, applying Psychological First Aid, and integrating psychosocial considerations across all reintegration pathways.
Day 2 centred on case management and ethical data handling. Emphasis was placed on Individual Reintegration Plans (IRPs), transparent counselling practices, professionalism, and the responsibility to safeguard sensitive beneficiary data.
Day 3 highlighted the non-negotiable importance of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), alongside practical finance and compliance lessons essential for donor confidence, accountability, and strong implementing partner relationships.
Day 4 reinforced monitoring, evaluation, and reporting standards, underscoring accuracy, timeliness, continuous learning, and improvement as pillars of credible and impactful reintegration programming.
Key takeaways for LANI Consulting:
Reintegration must be people-centred, ethical, and trauma-informed.
Strong case management and robust data protection build trust and sustainability.
PSEA, financial integrity, and reporting standards are foundational, not optional.
Continuous learning strengthens programme quality and long-term impact.
We value the opportunity to learn, reflect, and strengthen our practice alongside peers and facilitators. These insights will directly inform how we continue to support dignified, accountable, and sustainable reintegration initiatives.
Thank you to IOM - UN Migration and all facilitators for delivering an engaging and impactful programme.
