Structures without culture is weak oo

While structures could prevent small small theft money here and there

One employee can just carry your machine or all the cash available and disappear, never to be found.

The best solution to employee theft and fraud is Culture

Hiring a new employee is like searching for the egg of life in the evil forest.

Surely, you've seen one of those Nollywood movies where the village faces a challenge that can only be solved with the help of a relic hidden deep within an evil forest.

As a business owner, or someone responsible for recruiting, you should see yourself in a similar scenario.

An employee is the relic—your “egg of life”—that you must find to solve a problem in your business. They embody the values, skills, and qualities that align with your company’s unique needs and goals.

You’d agree that your business is different from others, right? And what you need to succeed is just as unique. That’s why the hiring process for every business should be customized to its specific demands.

It cannot be overemphasized: understanding the specific needs, values, and culture of your business is like having a map before entering the forest—without it, you’re lost.

As you navigate this evil forest, you want to avoid the traps and lures that could lead you astray.

These traps could be an overemphasis on resumes and credentials, the pressure to rush the hiring process due to urgent needs, or the undeniable attraction to charismatic personalities. And let's not forget the ‘Perfect Fit’ illusion—where someone seems like the ideal candidate on the surface but lacks the deeper alignment with your company’s mission.

Knowledge and certainty should be your best friends in this quest. They are the map and compass you need to navigate the forest effectively.

To do this, use surveys to gauge a candidate’s alignment with your company’s values, conduct structured interviews that focus on qualities beyond just skills, and utilize behavioral profiling to predict how a candidate might fit within your team.

These tools, when used well, can help you identify and secure your relic—the 100% Employee.

Hiring the right employee isn’t just about filling a position; it’s about finding the perfect fit for your unique business needs. This process requires careful planning, the right tools, and a deep understanding of what makes your company special.

Don’t leave your hiring process to chance. Start by clearly defining your company’s values, culture, and the specific qualities you need in an employee.

Then, use the tools at your disposal to find the perfect match. Remember, the journey doesn’t end once you find the right person.

Ongoing development and alignment with your company’s goals are key to maintaining a successful team.

Take the first step today and refine your hiring process to ensure you bring back the “egg of life” to your business.

Every employee has the potential to bring significant change to your business.

They possess a wellspring of innovation that could skyrocket your sales, customer satisfaction, and overall efficiency.

But is this the reality you experience?
Do your team members seem like they're only good for taking orders, or worse, not even that?

You might be thinking, “Why is employee autonomy necessary?

I feel safer controlling everything and everyone.” Well, here are three reasons why you should reconsider.

𝟭: 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱

Regardless of your knowledge, creativity, and intelligence, you're just one person.

There's only so much you can do, and your ability to multitask won't save your business in critical times.

If every decision requires your direct approval, progress will be slow and stifled.

Empowering your employees to make decisions can drastically increase the speed at which your business operates.

𝟮. 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆

When employees are allowed to make informed and meaningful decisions, they become more creative.

They will be accountable for their choices, leading to a surge in innovative ideas.

Soon, your customers, your employees, and even you will be proud of the creative solutions being generated daily.

𝟯. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Employees feel more valued and motivated when they have control over their work and can see the direct impact of their contributions.

This increased job satisfaction will lead to higher retention rates, reducing the costs and disruptions associated with high turnover.

𝗔 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

If you decide to let your employees take the reins without any preparation, you might be setting yourself up for failure.

It sounds too good to be true that simply giving employees freedom will transform your business. Implementing autonomy takes time and effort.

𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱

As seen above, the need to create a culture of employee autonomy cannot be overemphasized, but again we see it is not an easy feet to achieve.

So when quicker you start the easier it becomes.

The 100% Employee Summit is a premier event to help business owners and leaders create a conducive environment where employees can be and give their best at all times.

This includes helping your create a culture of autonomy.
