I was having a conversation with someone recently and we agreed that a common mistake that Nigerians in the diaspora make, is not working together to build a community for themselves, whereas other immigrants especially the Indians and Asians in general do so.
They come together to set up supermarkets, restaurants, and more and use these platforms to bring in their people, and then they begin expanding their franchise all over the state(s), making their community stronger, whereas, Nigerians and Africans in general just mind their business, hardly building anything, or building in isolation making their growth really slow, and not thinking of building their community except for periodic cultural parties and displays.
We need to think and act wiser for our sakes and that of our children...
