In Defensive Driving, "OBSERVATION" is key. Keep every vehicle around you at your watch, know the particular vehicle(s) that have been following you and how long they have followed you, if you suspect you are being followed, look for a safe place(like a police station or check point or a place where you are surrounded by people) to park and still observe. Wait for some minutes, Observe again and continue your journey. Your life is more important than the journey.

On one of my trips to a state of our country Nigeria, I encountered a civil security guard attached to a Bank at a drinking spot, neat and well dressed, but he committed 4 offenses through his stay (1) He left his beat to take some bottles of alcohol while on duty (2) Through his stay he talked about how he can make money and envied wealthy people (3) He talked about how his manager traveled out of the country with his family and estimated how much money the manager would have spent, (4) He went to the extent of saying how much was loaded in the ATM over the weekend. Now the question is did he know the people he had the conversation with? He leaked out so much vital information that can harm the organization. A Security Operative is meant to Hear more, See more and Speak less.
