Dear business owners,

You can't predict when your ad or post will actually give you the visibility/sales you have been looking for, you just have to keep showing up online and showing up well.

I saw a post where someone suggested posting and running an ad by 9am, posting and running an ad by 12pm, and so on, implying that it is when your business post and ad will perform better, based on your needs.

I am not saying these times do not work, I am saying do not build your business on when you should post and when you shouldn't post, you can't decide for the algorithm, but you can train the algorithm with data (and the data has to be of good volume).

The algorithm of the platform you choose to post and run an ad on will do the discovering, while you do the training (posting highly ranked content ideas, style, trend, etc).

You just have to show up, because there is a way the algorithm works, the more content you push out, I mean quality worthy content, the more circulation and distribution it gets, but there are strategies for making those posts online that you will also use for ads to get the best out of it.

There are things to consider when posting and promoting a post online.

■ The idea behind the content (sales, engagement, brand visibility).
■ The placement of your content (Facebook, Snapchat, Tiktok, etc).
■ The audience (Parents, Newlyweds, Gen Zs, students, employed; their language, relatable trends).
■ Post clear, authentic, direct message-focused content.

Every vendor can attest to the fact that their customers buy more from them during the sales period, and vendors take advantage of this opportunity to sell both old and new stock at pocket-friendly prices.

Now, the Black Friday sale is coming up. How do you intend to sell out?

Let me say this quickly: if you are considering running sales through your WhatsApp DMs during this period, especially for vendors who are advertising on social media platforms, you will leave a lot of money on the table.

Website sales will make you more money, even while you are asleep and not awake to confirm orders by 3am (mind you, this depends on your business type: especially for fashion, hair, accessories and skincare vendors)

So, let us get straight into the real deal, here are 3 unique strategies to use for your black Friday sales.

POD ( Payment on delivery) is not an offer that favours most businesses. Think of something that will make people pay you before your service to them.

1. For the upcoming black Friday sale, you can make use of a discount code strategy. Visibility is all you need. Get micro influencers with a 6-month good page engagement to create at least a 60-second video of the product you have to sell, then give them their discount code....you can also use their videos to run ads for your brand (this will save you the stress of creating videos for the products you want to sell)

2. The discounted website sale offer, now you and I know how costly it is to deliver goods to people in their various locations after they must have made a purchase, customers are looking for where and how to buy that high priced goods at a discounted price if they get to see any because of the logistics cost, now you have the opportunity to sell yourself (your brand), give a discounted price to those buying directly from your websites, see, the secret thing with this website sale is that, people tend to buy more because they have different options to choose from.

When you purchase a product or use a service, your transaction doesn't end when you click 'buy.' The most crucial step comes after: leaving a review or giving feedback, which is why Bolt or Indrive riders will always ask for a review after your ride because they know what it does to their personal brand.

This is me speaking on behalf of all business owners, if you get a five-star satisfaction from a product you bought online or offline, and also from a service you've used, do not forget to leave a review on their page, their Google business profile or even in their DM.

Some business owner would even go as far as appreciating you for creating a video review of their service or product (if you got exactly what you needed).

It goes a long way for every business owner.

A HAPPY CLIENT🙌🫢🥂

This week I worked on a full IG page optimization for a Photographer (Davshotz) based in Lagos who was referred to me by my friend Obasi Divinegift Chidera (MY PARFAIT VENDOR; she makes the best parfait in Lagos, her yoghurts are so milky and creamy with crunchy nut toppings😋)

So, my client needed something catchy yet simple, something unique yet minimalistic.

I created an optimized IG name; you can see that 2 people already followed it, and his page views grew from 622 to about 722 views in 24hrs; you can also see on his page that his last post was on the 2nd of January, which was an incredible visibility there you know.

I also optimized his Bio to send a straightforward message to his prospective clients who would love to book his services.

I equally created the current logo on his page and also designed a beautiful highlight with his brand colour.
