Over the past few days, Iโve had the privilege of mentoring three amazing entrepreneurs, Umar .fashionshoes, Zainab and IfeOluwa through the Plus Factor Grant Program by Plus Incubation Hub - PIH, implemented by the .
And I can honestly say that this experience has been deeply rewarding.
What stood out for me wasnโt just the businesses they are building, but the shift in thinking that I witnessed.
From:
โข Running on instinct to building with structure
โข Selling products to solving real customer problems
โข Guessing numbers to thinking in financial models and projections
โข โJust managingโ to intentionally planning for growth
Seeing that transition happen in real time is why I do this work.
Their reflections reminded me that sometimes, what entrepreneurs need most isnโt more effort, but clarity.ย
And once clarity comes, confidence follows.
To Umar, Zainab, and IfeOluwa - thank you for showing up.
Thank you for being open to learning.
And thank you for doing the work.ย
Iโm genuinely excited about what you all are building.
Remember, whether or not you emerge as grant winners, what youโve gained -- clarity, structure and direction, will outlast this program.
Keep building. Keep refining. Keep going.
To Plus Incubation Hub - PIH, thank you for the opportunity to contribute to this journey and for the work youโre doing to support entrepreneurs meaningfully.
Cheers to more impact.
Off to meet my mentees at The Tony Elumelu Foundation 2026 Entrepreneurship Programme.
