“Dem say you need like 10 million to do solar… who even start that talk sef?” 😭
Because I sef believe am before—until last year show me and my family real shege.
November reach, our transformer just spoil. No warning, no light. No be say few days o… na months.
We get generator, but e just dey manage. E no fit carry two freezers, AC, pumping machine… everything just hard.
I come tire.
I go online go check small, call my guy wey dey do solar, we arrange 5kVA inverter with 6 panels plus other things we need.
The shocking part? I no even spend reach 3 million.
For like three good months without NEPA, we dey very okay—na solar we dey use run everything.
Our house even turn small community center 😭
We put socket outside, leave tap dey run… people dey come charge phone, fetch water, just help themselves. E come be normal thing.
Na that time e clear for my eye say—solar no be just light, na peace of mind.
Till today, my parents still dey pray for me because of that decision.
And the funny part? That hot afternoon sun wey we dey complain about—na that time solar dey work pass.
We dey cook with electric cooker, pump water freely during the day… anything wey dey chop light well well, na afternoon we dey run am. Fans, freezers—all of them dey run without stress.
No noise. No fuel wahala. I no even remember the last time we on generator sef 😂🤭
If you fit afford am, abeg think about solar. You no even need start big—start small, upgrade as you dey go.
And abeg, if you wan do am, try get lithium battery. E cost pass, but e go save you plenty stress later. Those cheaper ones fit frustrate you with time.
Solar really change things for us.
Make I hear truth—if you get chance now, you go still choose generator… or you go face solar? 👀
