"LOVE" is beautiful.

Love is so deep. Never giving up! Always doing what will be of benefit😭 to the one loved irrespective of the circumstances.

Sometimes it's present in storm but remains calm to let you get to deepest and then suddenly shows up. Just to make you exercise Faith and Trust. To let you see beyond what your brain can carry.

Sometimes sweet, sometimes painful, but the whole aim is to uplift. Never to destroy.🙄

Whose Child are you?

This morning I was listening to a song "No Longer Slaves" by Jonathan Davids and Melissa Helser. The two lines that struck me were; "You split the sea so I could walk right through" and "You rescued me so I could stand and sing, I am a child of God".

The affirmation "I am a child of God" broke me down. I started reflecting. The affirmation is there because there was a red sea that was split. The affirmation is they because there was a rescue from captivity.

The affirmation was birthed out of obstacle and captivity.

If we look like what we have been through, how ugly would we look? Very very ugly!! Thank the Lord we don't look like what we have been through 🙏

How are you handling your red sea? Would you be there to stand and sing "I am a child of God".

It's been tough for a lot of us this time but the difference is how we handle situations. Constantly remind yourself whose child you are.

Use the power of your volition. Imagine what you are praying for being answered. Start living as if you are there already. It's not easy but it's possible.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don't give yourself another option. Let your faith be so strong.

Finally work it out prayerfully! See you at the top 🙏

MONDAY MOTIVATION

Never underestimate the power of prayer .

The present situation of the country today is a proof that we can't do anything without a higher Authority. 💪

Work hard, be diligent in your work and have good attitude concerning everything even when they are not working out.

People around me always say "Chika you're strong". I always laugh whenever I hear it. The truth is that I am not strong, I just have a secret. I get my strength from Proverbs 24:10

Proverbs 24:10
KJV: If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
MSG: If you fall to pieces in a crisis,
there wasn't much to you in the first place.

Come to think of it, If you have a source of strength Whose strength is inexhaustible. So failing on the the day of adversity means you are not connected to Him.

Where do you get this strength? In the place of prayer🙏🙏. Pray, Believe and Be Patient with the right attitude. This will make your strength always new.

As we go into this new week, may me not fail.
May we have enough strength to conquer all our challenges and have victory.

International Women's Day!

We move to keep striving to create more standards for women.

I celebrated International Women’s Day at an event with Unicaf in partnership with The Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC). It was a virtual event that featured Mrs Bisi Adeyemi , President and Chairman of Council, Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce, Mrs Morayo Afolabi - Brown (Media Consultant & Creator, TV Host) and Mrs Kikelomo Atanda-Owo, (Broadcast Journalist and Consultant)

The experts discussed how women have, historically, faced many barriers to success in their businesses and corporate world and how education has proven to be a powerful tool for overcoming these obstacles. They explored how through education, women can gain valuable skills, knowledge and confidence to compete and advance their careers.

Here are tips I learnt at the event;

-Gender equity is not gender equality. It means treatment for men and women, recognizing their individual differences and treating them accordingly.
-Take feedbacks as a gift.
- Learn the habit of always showing empathy.
- Stay on course and don't get distracted.
- Don't wait until you become a CEO before you lead, lead from wherever you are.
- Have networks of both mentors and mentees so that you get acquainted with the different generations
- When battles come, fight with facts, figures and data not emotions.
- Love your success and own it.
- Don't be afraid to shine.
- Don't expect growth in your comfort zone.

I am proud to be a woman and I celebrate womanhood today ❤️
