Day 33
Hello, family.
I'm so glad to be doing this journey with you.
Yesterday morning, I woke up very early to pray. I had several prayer points and questions before the Lord. As I came downstairs, I saw this arrangement on the table.
These are my son's toys.
Now, perhaps he arranged them himself.
But somehow, I couldn't shake the feeling that the Holy Spirit was drawing my attention to them.
Whether God prompted him to place them this way or simply used what was already there to speak to me, I believe there was a lesson hidden in this simple picture.
So I took a photo.
I'd like you to look at it for a few moments before reading further. Ask the Holy Spirit, "What are You saying to me?"
Here are some of the thoughts that came to my heart.
1. Strength is not the same as efficiency.
The tractor looks powerful.
The cheetah is incredibly fast.
The helicopter can fly.
Each is strong, but each is strong in a different dimension.
Being strong in one area does not necessarily mean you are equipped for every assignment. Sometimes frustration comes because we are trying to solve a problem with the wrong kind of strength.
2. Your results are largely influenced by who you are.
No matter how fast a cheetah runs, it will never become a helicopter.
No matter how determined the tractor is, it cannot outrun the cheetah.
The greatest discovery in life may simply be discovering who God has made you to be and then becoming that person.
Many people are trying to improve their performance when Heaven is inviting them to discover their identity.
3. Who are you?
When I asked myself this question, several dimensions came to mind;
Who you are in Christ Jesus. Everything begins here.
Christ has already given us an entirely new identity and an eternal advantage.
How well aligned you are in the Spirit.
It is the Holy Spirit who makes everything Christ accomplished become a present reality in our lives.
Your company. Imagine being a helicopter that has only ever lived among tractors. You may never even realise you were created to fly.
Your purpose.
