Job Interview Questions: Seven Most Influential Ways to Prepare Job Interview Questions

While you might not know exactly what interview questions you will be asked at your interview, there are some preparation tactics that can improve your odds of getting a second interview or job offer. One of the keys to success with job interview questions is being ready for them. Getting ready for an interview means different things to different people, but there are a number of proven methods to ensure you will be able to handle whatever is thrown your way. Here are seven ways to prepare for job interview questions:

1. Research the company
Knowledge is power and confidence. When you can converse intelligently and specifically about the core products or services of the employer you will be confident and impress interviewers. Understand how the company makes money, and what how the position you are seeking contributes to profit.

2. Research the industry
Learn what the key drivers are in the market. Then take the information a step further and find out what is unique about the employer's business and their market strengths. Knowing who their main competitors and biggest clients are can also be helpful.

3. Brainstorm questions for the recruiter or hiring manager
Prepare five or six intelligent questions to ask the interviewer. Write them down legibly and take your list with you to the session so you will have a reference if your mind goes blank. Practice asking your questions out loud. Take your time asking questions in the interview and take notes when the interviewer answers you.

4. Establish your personal motivation
Why do you want this job from this company? Understanding what you want to get out of the experience is also key to finding a good employment match.

5. Practice your interview answers
Get to know and recognize the different types of interview questions. When you can quickly classify the type your answer will come easier.

Prepare your main stories for the behavioral based questions and rehearse your personal statements. Work with a friend or coach to get used to the flow and pace of a questioning session.

6. Rehearse with the mirror
Wearing your interview attire, rehearse on front of a mirror. Can you maintain good eye contact? What is your body language saying? Are there any distracting movements you need to control? Are you smiling when you answer interview questions?

7. Get a solid night of sleep
While this sounds elementary inadequate rest often negatively affects cognitive thinking, response time, and memory more than any other interview preparation factor. You need to look fresh and be alert enough to frame intelligent responses to your future employer's job interview questions. A full night of sleep will help calm your nerves, keep your brain functioning at full speed, and reduce the chances of having bags under your eyes.

Interview is Gateway to Your Desired Job & Career, But Still You Have to Face the Competition, so You Must be Prepared Before Time. If You want to beat Your Competition In Interview

Business strategy requires leadership, sound intelligence, accurate data, and an engineer-like approach. Master these tools, and you’ll find yourself in a much better position to make things happen...for your company and your career. Have a blessed day

LEADERSHIP AND BUSINESS ETHICS TRAINING; Organisational effectiveness and efficiency has always been central issues for practising managers. However these must now be augmented by an awareness of issues in business ethics, and a requirement for holders of corporate leadership positions to behave in more socially responsible ways. The reputation and credibility of any organisation can be immensely improved by emphasising ethical decisions, behaviours, boundaries and ideas. Using leadership skills to demonstrate appropriate business ethics can help build team culture and also provide measurable benchmarks for employees to follow as they make independent decisions in their daily duties. This programme is designed to ensure participants gain an understanding of business ethics, its benefits and its application in the workplace. Areas explored include ethical management and its relevance to the leadership role and practical ways to resolve ethical dilemmas in the workplace

*** Imagine that a "time machine" allows you to go back in time and coach your younger self. What advice would you give yourself? Would you have done anything differently? Are you pleased with the mentors you found, the experiences you had, and the formal courses you took along the way?

I'm hoping your answers will help our next generation - and, perhaps, help us as well, as we lead and mentor our teams.

To be truly effective, an executive must be productive. Being productive is not a lone sport. To be truly productive in a work setting, you must rely on your team to help you. That's why work teams are the preferred way to reach goals – together, you can achieve much more than with the single efforts of individuals.

To use the power of teamwork, you must know how to delegate effectively. Delegating isn't simply having others do your work – successful delegation ensures that the right person performs the task, regardless of who is ultimately responsible for getting it done. When people are able to work on their high-priority tasks, then everybody – and your organization – wins. If you spend too much time doing work that other people could do, and you have no time to make progress on your own key objectives, then you need to reevaluate who should be doing what on a regular basis.

Delegating effectively means providing sufficient support and resources so that another person can complete the job well. It doesn't mean micromanaging the process and checking every 10 minutes that things are being done right (in other words, "your way"). To delegate successfully, learn how to let go and trust people to do what must be done. When you do this on a regular basis and build a team of people who all help one another as needed, your productivity levels will increase radically.

Our time study data indicates that the average employee spends 19% of his or her time on administrative tasks. This increases to 25% for managers. For many of them, delegation of some tasks would free up more time for high priority activities. If you want to make better use of your time, you’ll get more done through delegation.
