I held an event for free last weekend and sold a couple of my books. I meet friends occasionally and present my books to them, some buy, others don't. Whenever I stand up to speak at church events or meetings, I shamelessly remind them I am an author. I have online systems (a leads website and email autoresponder) that allows me to sell my books even when I am sleeping. I am setting up an affiliate system next month to help me sell more of my books.

A sale here, a sale there, over time it compounds to something huge. I believe in compound interest :)
