Things you shouldn’t do in a tenant house as a married woman .
✅You see ajo? Doing it in your compound can cause chaos .
It brings gossip about people that joined but don’t have money to pay.
It can bring commotion. It makes people weigh you and your family because you pay late.
You may choose to do it, but in your compound? Nah . Do it far …
✅Always screaming and shouting about every little thing because you have a child .
People will talk about you. They will say this woman is always shouting .
I know motherhood is not easy , but shouting over everything? Including at your house help? Nah
✅Leaving your house to go and sit in front of the compound. They call these people “ndi ama good evening “. Some will sit in those shops located in front of their compound to gossip everyone that passes . Stay in your house where you pay rent. That brings disrespect.
Before you know they start calling you to defend what you didn’t say or said .
✅Dressing anyhow . Note your husband is not the only one in that compound.
Some ties wrapper to enter people’s houses. You neighbor that has a husband you will tie wrapper on your chest to her house to gossip .
Some don’t wear bra to go down the street to buy things . Even when their breast is reaching their stomach.
No body is body shaming you , it’s how you dress that will make your neighbors body shame you .
That you are married doesn’t mean you won’t take care of yourself.
✅mind your business!! Take your mouth out of peoples life, so that a small boy or girl won’t ins*ult you
✅ cussing your children. Calling them names . It’s not nice please.
✅ Not minding your business when a male neighbor comes home with a lady . You must not look them till they notice you are an amebo abi tatafo . Some will even hail the male neighbor with “neighbor!! neighbor !! “
✅sending your female children an errand to a male neighbor’s house .
✅Gossip. This one is the Oga kpatakpata . And if someone comes to tell you about something someone else said about you tell the person “iam not interested “
Don’t involve yourself with gossip
✅stop seeking advise from your fellow married women. You don’t have to tell them what’s going on in your home or marriage . They will use it to insu*lt you when there is a misunderstanding and also talk about you when you are not there . You say what happens between you and your husband, they sees him and disrespect him .
✅Fig*hting in the compound. Some will fight and na**ked themselves. You are not only disrespecting yourself you are also disrespecting your husband.
✅Being troublesome. Obata osu . Be peaceful.
✅Letting your children make other neighbors that paid rent uncomfortable.
✅Always asking for salt , pepper , red oil etc
✅ Always buying things on credit . In your street they know you are a creditor.
✅leaving your children to be peeping and entering someone’s house anyhow. Some will sit there when the neighbor is cooking before you know it they give your child he or she will eat . they are calling your child long throat and asking if you don’t give them enough food if you don’t know
✅Trying to have conversation with someone’s girlfriend. Some of you will do your amebo and cast your male neighbor that he has 5girls . Who ask you ? It’s not necessary. Don’t try to be a nice person , it doesn’t pay !!
Anyone that comes to your neighbors house is not your business.
Focus on yourself apartment, your children, yourself and family .
Respect yourself!! So you won’t be involved in any compound brouhaha
Remember respect is reciprocal.
