Our own Lasbery Oludimu, VP of Operations and MD of Yellow Card Nigeria, took the stage at The Borderless Experience by Norrsken to talk about where stablecoins are actually solving problems in cross-border payments across Africa.

The conversation is shifting. It's no longer "is this technology interesting," it's "how do we move money faster and cheaper for the people who need it most." That's the work we show up for every day.

Thanks to Norrsken for putting together a panel that gets into the real mechanics, not just the hype.

New partnership: Yellow Card App 🤝 Tranzmit

Tranzmit has integrated Yellow Card's Payments API to power its USA-to-Nigeria corridor, one of its largest and fastest-growing.

Tranzmit has spent decades helping people move money across borders. That corridor now runs on Yellow Card's stablecoin rails, converting USD-pegged stablecoins to local currency so payments land faster, at better rates, with fewer surprises.

Cross-border payments are moving from correspondent banking to real-time rails, and that shift was the whole conversation at the Hong Kong U.S. Business Association of Atlanta (HKAA) Fintech Summit this week.

Our CEO, Chris Maurice, joined the panel "The Future of Cross-Border Payments," moderated by David Siegel of Aprio, alongside Yimin Yang of Loyal Trust Bank and Taohang Z. of Arcum.

The panel got into what actually changes when a payment stops passing through three or four correspondent banks and settles directly instead: payment moves in minutes instead of days, and it can reach people in markets that don't have easy access to banking today.

Thanks to the Hong Kong U.S. Business Association of Atlanta (HKAA) for the invite and for a genuinely sharp panel.

We just closed a $40 million strategic funding round, with investment from SC Ventures by Standard Chartered, Sony Innovation Fund, Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital, and other strategic investors. This brings Yellow Card's total financing to over $120 million in equity financing.

The funding goes toward scaling Global USD Accounts, our dollar account built for businesses, and expanding the stablecoin rails that connect it to markets around the world. We're deepening our reach in Latin America and Asia-Pacific, on top of the footprint we've already built across Africa.

We've moved over $10 billion in transactions so far, support more than 50 currencies, and hold licenses across 22 jurisdictions spanning North America, Europe, and Africa. This round helps us get to the next stage, connecting more banks, fintechs, and enterprises to stablecoin rails, so dollar access isn't just something a handful of institutions get to offer.

Great energy on stage at the BusinessDay CEO Forum in Lagos Last Week 🇳🇬

From stability to shared prosperity, that's the shift Nigeria's business leaders gathered to discuss in Lagos.

Our VP of Operations, Lasbery C. Oludimu (LLM, MCIArb, ACIS), who joined Bola Adesola (Ecobank Nigeria), Lolu Akinyemi (HBM Nigeria Plc/ ), Aminu Umar-Sadiq (NSIA: Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority), and Yomi Olugbenro (Deloitte West Africa) on the "Funding Growth" panel, exploring how capital gets mobilised and deployed into Nigeria's next expansion cycle.

Proud to be in that conversation, and ready to help businesses put that capital to work. Talk to our team about how Yellow Card supports access to local currency across Africa.

The 8th FITSPA Annual Fintech Conference 2026 brought together key voices in Uganda's fintech and virtual assets space last week, including our own Isaac Wabuge, Country Manager and Growth Lead for Kenya and Uganda at Yellow Card, who joined a panel discussion on crypto and virtual assets.

Sessions like this matter for Uganda's growing digital economy. As virtual assets gain traction, conversations that separate genuine innovation from speculation help build the trust and understanding the industry needs to grow responsibly.

Isaac spoke to that directly, drawing a clear line between Ponzi schemes and legitimate use cases, and encouraging people to understand the technology, do their due diligence, and be cautious of anything promising unrealistic returns.

That kind of clarity benefits everyone, from regulators and innovators to everyday users trying to make sense of a fast-moving space. Thank you to moderator Ms. Flavia Eleanor Kasenge and fellow panelists Wensi Nuwagaba of BrainWave Technologies and Ian Mubiru of Relworx for a discussion that pushed the industry toward more responsible, informed growth.

Scaling cross-border hard currency payments across emerging markets just got simpler.

Disclosure: Yellow Card is a financial technology company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided by Erebor Bank, N.A., Member FDIC. FDIC insurance protects against bank failure only, not Yellow Card's failure. Deposits through Yellow Card may be eligible for FDIC insurance up to applicable limits if pass-through insurance conditions are met.

For international institutions and clients bridging local operations with global liquidity, managing fragmented correspondent banking partners is a major operational bottleneck.

Today, we are thrilled to announce the launch of Yellow Card Managed Accounts. We have decoupled traditional banking rails from your legacy infrastructure. Yellow Card Managed Accounts provide our clients with a dedicated international endpoint that connects natively to your centralized treasury platform.
How it empowers your operations:
● The Rails: Use traditional banking networks to seamlessly send and receive hard currency globally.
● The Platform: Once you receive funds and they clear, the capital is automatically routed and credited to your unified Yellow Card dashboard.

By operating on a centralized model, our clients eliminate trapped capital at the correspondent bank level. You get the reliable routing of traditional bank accounts on the front end, combined with the automated reconciliation of a modern treasury platform on the back end.

Ready to streamline your cross-border infrastructure? Reach out to our team today to see how a dedicated Managed Account can accelerate your growth.
