Still on NYSC.

As the leader of the Ibara CD Unit during my NYSC days, we setup a Library for the Borstal Remand Home, Adigbe, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Beyond setting up the Library, my team and I were committed to teaching the inmates and preparing them to write their WAEC (Senior and Junior).

I’m happy that the Remand home is still functional today and many lives are still being transformed.

During my NYSC, I organized a mathematics competition for Primary Schools in Abeokuta South and North tagged “GATEWAY PRIMARY SCHOOL MATHEMATICS COMPETITION” where over 50 schools and 100 pupils participated.

I appreciate the support I got from Ogun State Ministry of Education as they provided the venue (Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School Isabo), and the venue for the award ceremony (Ministry of Education, Oke Mosan). There was also support from Promasidor (Makers of Cowbell Milk).

Reminiscing on this event, I feel happy for contributing my quota to nation building by motivating these youngsters to love MATHEMATICS. I believe most of them are now doing exceedingly well for themselves.

The success of that event instilled an unbreakable CAN DO SPIRIT in me and a solid foundation in all I ventured in to after that.

Over the past one week, I've not slept well as a result of planning for the (as the team lead) which successfully took place today. Also, as leader of the Connectskillsng team overseeing the administration of Questionnaires to businesses in Nigeria by UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS UK, I was fine tuning the arrangements.

These my eyes have seen shege 😂

My passion and commitment as a Business Development Service Provider is to help Nigerian and solve their pain points ( , , , , , , etc.) because I understand that they account for over 95% of businesses, contribute over 48% to our GDP and employ over 84% of the workforce.

If they succeed, then

- Unemployment will reduce,
- Government Revenue will grow,
- Standard of living with improve,
- GDP will grow,
- Crime rate will reduce, etc.

You too need to support these small businesses and startups.

Enough of the politics by so-called Igbo Leaders.

While the Leaders in Lagos decided to use the Guber elections to drag the state in the mud and make Lagos (a supposed Metropolitan city that should ordinarily be the preferred location for investment in Africa) a caricature without considering the multiplier effects, it is time for us to now take a bold decision and agree on a 5 years plan that will cover the following.

1. SEA PORT - If Lekki Deep Sea Port can be built, then I see no reason why Orashi Oseakwa can’t have a Sea Port (note that with the hatred against the Igbos I’m not even talking about Onne or Calabar).

2. RAIL LINES - Now that the Governors can build and run rail lines, I see no reason why there can’t be a connecting rail line to all the south East states linking up with Aba-Portharcourt.

3. ELECTRICITY - Now that states can generate and transmit electricity, I see no reason why the Governors can’t target a minimum of 10,000 Megawatts (transmission) in the Southeast states and even sell to other states.

Let us open up the economy of the South East and see investors come in droves (forget the political narratives denying the south East states of investments inclusive of FG driven PPP and favoring other regions).

When you have a working system in the South East that strengthens trading which is our niche, you will negotiate with others based on comparative advantage.

- The Igbos will no longer be denied CofO in Lagos simply because they are Igbos.

- The Igbos will no longer be denied accommodation simply because they are Igbos.

- The Igbos will no longer be denied promotion in the offices simply because they are Igbos.

- The Oba of Lagos will not have the guts to threaten Igbos again because the Governor will warn him against chasing investors away.

- The Lagos politicians will no longer play ethnic politics using Igbos to win sentimental votes.

- The political parties will no longer mess with the Igbos knowing that politically we’ve woken up as a United people with over 30 Million votes.

- Efulefus like Reno, Garba and FFK will no longer have a field day messing with the Igbos.

Enough of the nonsense happening in Nigeria.

IGBOS LET US TAKE OUR FATE IN OUR OWN HANDS.

Silicon Valley Bank reminds us that the Primary roles of banks still remains

1. TAKE FROM THE HAVES & GIVE TO THE HAVE NOTS;
2. RECOVER FROM THE HAVE NOTS & PAY BACK TO THE HAVES.

They invested and were instrumental to the success of many startups, yes, BUT how successful were they in their Primary roles?
