Before we go this week, I'd love to talk to my online vendors about asking to be contact directly for the price of their products.

You know that the internet is where your storefront is located and that that same internet is enormous. A lot of people with different personality and different state of mind will come across your products. Also, a lot of other people sell the same thing you're selling.

If you expect people to always contact you before they can decide on purchasing from you, you're only going to get a lot of clicks that may not necessarily lead to conversion. You're going to lose sales from a lot of people that either too introverted or shy or busy or preoccupied to contact you.

But by putting your price you have given people a chance to decide on their own about buying from you. Also, you have placed yourself above competition with other vendors if your prices are better.

So dears, "DM for Price" is not a price.
"It is affordable" is not a price, please add your prices to your products when you put them online.

About everybody is familiar with WhatsApp Messenger, the No 1 go to Instant Messaging App for everybody, young and old alike. The old have various derivatives of the name tho, Wassap, Worzup, Wazzapu. It gets better every single time!!. I digress.

WhatsApp Messenger enables messaging, voice and video calls, and status, all beautifully put together with a beautiful interface but with WhatsApp Business it gets better, It offers you all of the above and a host of other benefits like

business details (about, business profile, address, type of service etc)
automated greetings, away messages and quick replies,
business name and logo
opening and closing hours
chat migration, analytics etc
Why Do I Need WhatsApp Business Account For My Business
Your WhatsApp Business account is like an office with a store and a receptionist, right in your pocket. A place where you can interact with your customers, and showcase your products and services. Yiu can create shortlinks and share on social media, so your customers can chat with you or inquire about your product and services. Good old cheap advertising, if you ask me. Also, WhatsApp Business syncs with your contact list so you dont have to do that again.

Whenever a customer start a chat with you, an automated greeting message is sent to them, if the message is sent during your closed hours, an away message is sent to them. Customers will appreciate the quick replies and a good away message will do the trick. (will get to that shortly.)

If youre getting a hang of it already, lets get down to the setup guide.

** For the sake of this article, WhatsApp Business will be shortened to WAB. Important details will be highlighted in green and warning or suggestions will be highlighted in burnt orange

Before we start, you should know that you can have both the WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business apps on the same phone, but you have to use a different phone number or you can just migrate to WAB using that same phone number, I dont recommend that tho.

First, you have to download the WAB app from Playstore or Appstore. Once the app is installed, open it, click on Agree and Continue. Read it first tho, if you’re Caroline Channing.
Then verify your phone number. I suggest you use your business line here, make sure you have access to the number beacause a 6-digit code will be sent during the verification.
Create your profile, with your logo, business name and your business category. Click Next.
Click on Settings and grant permissions to WAB app to update your contacts.
Click on the right top corner, the 3-vertical dots beside the search icon, then click on Settings from the dropdown. This is the crucial part.
Click on Business settings, then Business Profile, Add your business Logo as profile picture, if you have not done that yet, Your Address, Business category, Description, Opening days and time, Email and Website. Click on Save.
Click the ← to go back, move down through the Business Setting screen, then click on Away message under Messaging tools. Enable Send away message. You can use the available away message but its bland and boring if you ask me. Learn How to write a good Away Message for your WhatsApp and Facebook Business Page
Click on Schedule, choose Outside business hours (recommended), click on Recipents, choose Everyone (recommended). Save your changes.
Click the ← to go back, then click on Greeting Message, enable the setting and write a new greeting message. Your greeting message is automated and will be sent when a customer message you for the first time or after 14 days of no activity, so it should be short, heartwarming and welcoming. It is a new customer’s first perception of your business. ” Hi, welcome to {business name}, how can we {help you}, {be of service} “ or something around that line is not a bad idea. Click on Recipient, choose Send to everyone and save your settings.
N:B Greeting Messages and Away amessages are only sent when your phone has an active internet connection.

That’s about the most important thing you need for your WhatsApp Business account to run smoothly, anyways make sure your Privacy is set to Everyone so your business can be visible to everybody. Click on shortlink and copy your unique link, paste is on your website, Instagram, twitter etc and get the business coming in!

You can go on now and start chatting and calling new prospects and old customers, uploading your products and services on your status, creating groupchats with your customers and other businesses.
