We are deeply grateful to God for the successful commemoration of World Cleanup Day 2026 and the Official Launch & Activation of Trashusers Services’ Waste to Wellness Initiative in Bariga, Lagos.

This was more than a cleanup.
What started as a vision became a beautiful reality
a proof that shows waste can create opportunities, improve communities, and connect environmental sustainability with access to healthcare.

From collecting waste to creating awareness, engaging the community, and introducing EcoCredits for Waste to Wellness, the day reminded us that meaningful change happens when people come together for a common purpose.

We sincerely appreciate our partners, government institutions, stakeholders, volunteers, community leaders and everyone who contributed to making this milestone possible.

Special appreciation to:

LASHMA – Ilera Eko
Lagos State Ministry of the Environment
LAWMA
LAGESC (KAI)
Bariga LCDA
Our Community Development Associations
Our partners and supporting organisations
Our dedicated volunteers
and every resident and participant who showed up and supported the initiative.

To our incredible volunteers thank you for giving your time, energy and heart.

The journey has only just begun.
Waste is not useless. Waste is an opportunity
Turn waste into wellness.
Together, let's build cleaner, healthier and more sustainable communities.

Thank you, Bariga.

What you see here isn't just a pile of plastic, it's proof that change is happening.

At our ReFSI Recycling Hub, every bottle collected represents one less piece of waste polluting our streets, drains, and environment. Through community participation, proper sorting, and responsible recycling, we're transforming plastic waste into valuable resources while building a cleaner and more circular future.

This impact is only possible because of everyone who chooses to recycle instead of discard.

Together, we're reducing pollution, conserving resources, creating green opportunities, and inspiring a new culture of environmental responsibility.

Thank you to every student, resident, volunteer, partner, and supporter who is making this journey possible.

Let's keep the momentum going, one bottle, one bag, one collection at a time.

A huge thank you to the students, staff, cleaners, and every member of the campus community for making a difference by using the recycling receptacles correctly. Your simple actions have made our collection process easier, faster, and more efficient.

Every bottle, can, and recyclable material placed in the right bin is one step closer to a cleaner campus and a more sustainable future.

The best thing you can do for the environment is to be part of the solution, not the problem.

From awareness to collection, sorting, and baling, every step plays a vital role in building a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Today at our ReFSI (Recycling from Source Initiative) Recycling Hub at Yaba College of Technology, we demonstrated a simple, practical, and verified model for responsible waste management and resource recovery.

Together, we can reduce pollution, promote sustainability, and create positive environmental impact.
