Call me Crazy - I officially launched a Tech Startup

After 4 months of rigorous learning, unlearning and building, I am super excited and proud to be graduating from the Founder Institute Pre-Seed Accelerator Program (Lagos Virtual Spring 2022). I remember Wande Adalemo (Director, FI Lagos) saying during one of our earlier sessions that only crazy people build startups and I don't disagree at all, especially when you are building in Nigeria.

At Founder Institute, we re-launched Corporate Bestie, as an all-in-one incorporation and regulatory compliance tool that enables founders and entrepreneurs to incorporate, launch and scale their businesses without stress or complex paperwork. Founder Institute is the world's largest pre-seed accelerator program with over 6,000 Graduate companies including Udemy, Esusu and BetaStore, and over 25,000+ mentors.

I'm also honored to have been nominated as President of my graduating cohort VI and look forward to all the amazing things we'll achieve together going forward.

As a company, Corporate Bestie is committed to providing a world where people who identify as Entrepreneurs and Founders - the people who are changing the world with their big ideas get all the support they need to succeed; and this is why I particularly love and enjoyed the FI program.

Founder Institute is for us what we are, to entrepreneurs. The learning sessions were excellently delivered, the mentors gave honest, practicable feedback designed to help refine and drive us forward; and just being in the company of fellow Founders who understand the startup journey and inspire you to keep going was such a blessing.

On this note, I want to say a big thank you to the Founder Institute Lagos team, Directors and Mentors for an amazing program. Congratulations to my fellow founders, I wish us all the best! A special shout out to my team at Corporate Bestie for the relentless work all the way!

There are so many biases held against women worldwide, culturally, politically, in the workplace etc but the most painful and distrubing are the biases against women found in the church and by so called 'church people'.

The church should be a place of comfort and reassurance that irrespective of gender, age, race, financial status or marital status, women matter. God is not discriminatory.

Today, I speak up against biases and encourage everyone, everywhere to against women.

To women everywhere, Happy International Women's Day. Keep pushing yourself against the limits!

Over the last 7 years, my friendship with Daniel Chinagozi has been quite consistent in so many ways, even when so many things have changed about us.

For starters, we have grown by leaps and bounds, cheeks and tummy 😂😂.

What has stayed the most consistent with us is that we have continued to chase the same vision, to build an ecosystem where ideas thrive, businesses are built and innovation grows.

Over the course of my career as a startup coach and Founder, I have had the privilege of supporting different founders and entrepreneurs and one thing that is often under-discussed is the fact that growth is a process.

Growth is a journey that comes many times with a lot of discomfort.

Whether you are building a business or growing your professional career, it takes a lot of courage, perseverance and hard-work!

It will require you to go through some challenging times, deal with difficult people and make very tough decisions to stay aligned with a vision and purpose sometimes only you know and can see.

Many times we don't know for sure that we'll be successful but we hope for the best and leverage on the tools, resources and network available per season.

Here's to everyone working hard to make their dreams come true and going through the process of growth!

Calling on Smart, Ambitious Women Across Nigeria & Ghana!

For the first time in a long while, we are (re) connecting young, smart, ambitious, purpose-driven, entrepreneurial and professional women at the Besties' Meetup powered by Bestie Network Africa happening from Friday, 30th July 2021 to Sunday, 1st August 2021.

This will be our first physical event since 2019 and we have put together a fantastic set of entrepreneurs and coaches who will be facilitating in 14 cities across Nigeria and Ghana.

The highlight of this event is the "Mid-Year Goal Setting/Planning Session" designed to help attendees review the last 6 months of the year, while also setting new goals and targets to be achieved within the remaining half of year. PS: This is a free event and all COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

It's amazing the work has done and is still doing to develop boys and men into responsible, ethical gentlemen with integrity through it's programs and initiatives.
