Why Your Building Can Still Be Demolished — Even If You ‘Have C of O’
Most people think once they have C of O, they’re untouchable.
Well… I hate to break it to you, but C of O doesn’t protect you from building demolition 😅
Here’s the truth nobody tells you:
A Certificate of Occupancy is land ownership, NOT building approval.
You can own the land and still build an illegal structure.
Read that again. 👇
OWNERSHIP ≠ APPROVAL
Demolition can still happen if you:
🚫 Build without a development permit
🚫 Build too close to drainage or setback
🚫 Build on government acquisition land
🚫 Change the approved building use
🚫 Add extra floors you were not approved for
So next time someone says:
“Demolition cannot affect me. I have C of O.”
Just smile and say:
“C of O cannot save a building that government did not approve.” 😅

🌞 Obtaining a right of ownership from Government to your Land depends on your capability, if you like you can obtain Red copy survey or certificate Of Occupancy ( C of O ).

💋Thereafter, after you obtain your building Approval sign by government statutory body/ Ministry, you can commence the building construction through a well experience Architect and Other building Engineers.
