Ex*****on becomes more sustainable when it is enabled by the organisation’s systems - not dependent on the CEO alone.

In a CEO-dependent model, functions pursue separate targets, decisions repeatedly move upward, dependencies are assumed, meetings focus on activity, and the CEO becomes the primary connector across the organisation.

A system-enabled model works differently: leaders align around a shared enterprise outcome, authority sits close to the issue, cross-functional commitments are explicit, governance forums resolve exceptions, and the leadership team integrates the organisation.

The objective is not to remove the CEO from ex*****on. It is to stop making the CEO the only mechanism through which ex*****on works.
