Ingredients
All purpose flour
Butter
Sugar
Baking powder
Egg
Milk
Nutmeg
Cinnamon powder
Salt
Procedure
Sieve your flour into a clean bowl, add the sugar, baking powder, and salt and mix properly
Then, You add your butter and mix till the flour is separated, then you add your nutmeg(i prefer fresh ones)
After grating your nutmeg into the mixture, then you add the cinnamon powder, then add your eggs afterwards make sure you mix thoroughly
When you've added your eggs, then you add your milk... Please note:If You using liquid milk, then you don't need to add water but if you using powder milk, You can add water and make sure your dough isn't too soft
After you've added the milk you mix thoroughly, by now the dough must have been ready for kneading
Pour some flour on a clean surface or on a clean chopping board, place your dough on it and knead, knead the dough is smooth, then keep in a clean bowl and leave it there for about 15-20 mins
While you wait for your dough, pour lots of oil into a deep pot and let the oil become hot but not too hot
When the dough is ready, place it on your chopping board or on a clean surface and use your spreading pin to spread out the dough to how you want it's thickness
After spreading it, then cut it to your desired sizes with a knife or with a pizza cutter, when you've done cutting it put them into your hot oil(To know if your oil is hot, pour in one of your chin chin dough into the oil, if it comes up slowly then it's properly heated but if it comes up so fasr then the oil is too hot and your chin chin might ger burnt without frying properly
When frying, make sure not to crowd the oil with chin chin dough so your chin chin won't get soaked with oil... Turn your chin chin dough from time to time
When it's slightly brown, take it down cos as the chin chin get cool, it gets more browny and as it gets cool, it gets more crunchy, place your chinchin on a baking paper or sieve to drain out the oil.
