The leading pan-African creative & innovation ecosystem enabler, dedicated to accelerating the application of social capital & technology for economic prosperity across Africa Co-creation HUB (CcHUB) Limited is Africa’s leading pan-African creative and innovation ecosystem enabler. Founded in 2010 as Nigeria’s premier innovation centre, we began with a mission to accelerate the application of soci
al capital and technology for economic prosperity. Since then, we have expanded our physical presence to four African cities: Lagos, Kigali, Nairobi, and Windhoek. Across these locations, we work closely with entrepreneurs, civil society organisations, governments, and the private sector to identify and nurture innovative solutions to social challenges. In 2017, CcHUB launched Growth Capital in partnership with Omidyar Network, Bank of Industry, and Venture Garden Group to provide early-stage funding for startups driving social impact. In February 2019, we opened the CcHUB Design Lab in Kigali, Rwanda, focused on research and development and Human-Centered Design to enable innovation for social impact. The Kigali Centre collaborates with global stakeholders to explore how technology can address systemic challenges in education, public health, governance, and other priority areas. In September 2019, we expanded our footprint by acquiring iHUB in Nairobi, Kenya, strengthening our support for entrepreneurs across East Africa. In 2020, we launched the CcHUB Investment Company, an investment vehicle designed to improve access to capital and bridge funding gaps within Africa’s innovation ecosystem. In 2021, we established the Creative Economy Practice to accelerate the growth of Africa’s creative industries through innovation and technology. In 2023, we further expanded our presence by opening Co-creation HUB in Windhoek, Namibia, reinforcing our vision of enabling innovation across the continent. Since inception, CcHUB has supported the development and launch of more than 10,000 innovative technology companies addressing challenges across sectors, including budget transparency, agtech, education, fintech, healthcare delivery, the creative economy, and sustainability. Today, CcHUB is a platform where technologists, social entrepreneurs, governments, startups, investors, and ecosystem builders collaborate to develop solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges. We drive impact across three core focus sectors: Education, Health, and the Creative Industries. Within these sectors, we enable the ecosystems that make innovation possible by advancing workforce development, expanding access to investment, fostering research and academic innovation partnerships, strengthening civic resilience, building communities, supporting startups in AI, emerging technologies and green innovation, and reinforcing innovation hubs across the continent. With a footprint spanning over 40 African countries, CcHUB continues to expand Africa’s capacity to solve complex challenges and build long-term prosperity from the ground up.
