Let's Define Your Compelling Value Proposition
Your Value Proposition (VP for short) is a clear CAPTURE of the VALUE you create and how it BENEFITS a specific CLIENT segment.
It is the PROMISE you make to your clients...a promise to satisfy their NEEDS or solve their PROBLEMS.
It is a STATEMENT of the benefits your company offers its clients.
You create VALUE for your clients through a delivery of services/products (your OFFERS) that cater to their needs or solve their problems.
So, there are two ends here...VALUE and OFFER.
One MISTAKE many business owners make here is to define both VALUE and OFFER from your own end.
The unpleasant outcome is that they FAIL to close deals because they were all about the FEATURES of their offer when engaging their prospective clients.
You are unable to CLARIFY and PROJECT the BENEFITS that resonate deeply with your prospective client because you have not crossed that bridge to explore what the client conceives as value.
What if you communicate what you do in the language of benefits that your client gets?
Reach out to your clients about what you do more in the terms of the BENEFITS they get than the FEATURES of your offer.
Defining your VP from a clear understanding of the core needs your clients builds a bridge between you and your clients and inclines them to take you up on your promise.
So, go ahead and answer these questions now…
1. What value do I offer to my customers?
(Capture your offer more as benefits that your clients gets than as features of the service you offer)
2. Which of my customers' problems do I help them solve or which of their needs do I satisfy?
3. What service am I offering to my customers?
