THANK YOU MESSAGE FROM A BIRTHDAY BOY
I wish to express my gratitude to all my Facebook Family who have felicitated with me on the occasion of my 2022 birthday. Your prayers; kind thoughts; encouragement and admonitions, have meant a lot to me and they will forever be cherished as long as I continue to breathe.
Even though I am of the opinion that it would have been better and more preferable to acknowledge all those who felicitated with me personally and directly, since these messages were not sent as a group. However, I will crave your indulgence to make this acknowledgement a group affair to maximize the time of everyone and for economy of space. I thank you all.
Its a miracle that I was able to celebrate this year's birthday given the clandestine and very audacious attempts that have been made to terminate my life by the State Security Service a.k a. DSS and the violent terrorist gang of the transport unions and cult groups, that the SSS have hired and deployed against me in very ferocious manners.
To give just one example: while I was coming back from a social visit some time ago, some men in a red Toyota Corolla Car with Lagos Registration Number fired a single shot at me with pistol, in broad day light and on a busy street, somewhere in Ojota, Lagos, which narrowly missed me and sped off. And there has been other more audacious and brazen attacks since then.
But inspite of all these challenges and dangers; I intend to continue living my life the way have always lived it and to continue to speak for good governance; the rule of law and against security agencies brutalities no matter whose ox is gored and inspite of the blackmail; lies; propaganda and innuendos being retailed against me like parrots.
I also do not intend to allow the campaigns to isolate me; cripple me financially and reduce me to rags (as they have been boasting) to disuade me from doing what have done for over fourthy years. After all; I came to this world with nothing and, will go with nothing.
In fact; my present predicament, has taught me a lot of lessons and opened my eyes to so many things that not many people get to see in a life time. The summary of my experience has been better put by Pastor Lolu Akinwumi when opined: IN PROSPERITY OUR FRIENDS KNOW US; IN ADVERSITY WE KNOW OUR FRIENDS.
I challenge the the SSS that if they have evidence that I have committed any crime the appropriate thing for them to do is to take me to court and prosecute me and not to hound me to the cemetery like was done DR. OBADIAH MALAFIA. If lies have been flying for a thousand years; sooner than later, the truth will catch up with it.
Like the illustrious Chief Obafemi Awolowo has thought us, it's not life that matters, but the courage we put into it.
I extend my fraternal greetings and enjoin you all to accept my love and affection.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
