Your drinking water meets federal safety guidelines when it leaves the treatment plant, but it travels through miles of pipes on its way to your home. Did you know that lead can leach into your home's drinking water from lead service connections, lead solder used in copper piping, or brass fixtures? The Water Quality Association recommends having your home’s tap water tested at all “points of use” such as faucets, hoses or water fountains.
