WHAT YOU KNOW NOW MIGHT ONLY BE SUFFICIENT TO KEEP YOU AT THE LEVEL YOU ARE AT THE MOMENT, EXCEPT YOU QUEST FOR MORE

4 years ago, I was to recruit a fresh graduate for the role of a Training and Development Executive; I reached out to my network and was able to get a good candidate.

I interviewed and discussed the offer with her but she turned down the offer. I did not agree with her on the decision, I showed her why the offer is the best for her at that time and helped her see how she could add value to the organization with her potentials and how what she studied in school could transform the organization's information storage system.

She was wowed by what she heard and immediately changed her mind. She accepted the offer and today, she is still on the same job but with significant career advancement. She has travelled to different parts of the world and continues to do what she knows how to do best.

She might have missed that opportunity forever but thank God, she was privy to a timely career advice from someone whose passion is to see others rise higher and that changed the game for her.
