A little throwback to a moment from Passing The Torch that still means a lot to me.
As we journey through life, it’s easy to remember the milestones and forget the people who helped us get there. I’ve always felt that one of the simplest ways to honour people is to let them know they made a difference.
That was the reason for the Gratitude Awards at Passing The Torch.
It was a privilege to honour people who have shaped my journey in different seasons of life. Pastor Tunde Bakare, for his exceptional leadership, mentorship, and fatherly guidance. My late boss and mentor, Ekwunife Ndubuisi Okoli, whose posthumous award was received by Mr. Victor Oba. My wife, Dr. Susu Enang, for her unwavering support and partnership. My mother, Elder Grace Akon Enang, whose love and nurturing laid the foundation for so much of who I am today. Mrs. Esther Alder, whose dedication and faithful service have meant so much over the years. Otunba Seni Adetu, for his distinguished guidance, support, and valuable contribution to my personal and professional journey.
I was also grateful to recognise Dr. Larry Izamoje, Toye Arulogun, Chris Ubosi, and Kunle Onime, founders of radio networks across the country who have helped Navigate With Idy reach millions of listeners every month.
Not that an award can ever fully express appreciation, but gratitude deserves to be spoken while people can still hear it.
A big thank you to everyone who has walked this journey with me.
