Hello my kinky, coily and curly friends how is your day going? I hope GREAT🤗
So sorry I've not really been active these days but today I've got your attention😂😂 Yeah?

Comment below which type of natural are you😅😅. Mind you that being a Lazy natural doesn't mean you are LAZY per say it simply means that you really don't put so much time and energy to your hair routine You really prefer be swift with your wash days and if possible, there are products that do double duty you won't hesitate to have them😂. Your go-to hairstyles are just basic and easy to achieve. In all you are just the opposite of a dedicated natural

So which team are you on

A.Team Lazy natural
B. Team Dedicated natural

There is this saying in Igbo that goes "ntutu by nma nwanyi" it means in English "Hair is the beauty of a woman".
Imagine taking care of your hair, you make the latest weaving, braids and wear beautiful wigs but your edges are chopped off due to bad hair care practices, it doesn't make sense right?
The goodnews is that its never too late to start giving your edges some TLC, all you need to do is give it attention and be patient to see growth.

For your information your edges are the most delicate and fragile part of your hair, knowing this would help you keep in mind to handle it with care. Moisturize always to keep it from getting dry and brittle, dry edges would lead to breakage.

1. Moisturize using the L.C.O or L.O.C method
2. Use Satin Scarf or Satin pillow case instead of a tight satin bonnet
3. Use growth oil on them and massage often
4. Avoid tight hair bands on your edges, ponytails etc
5. Apply deep conditioning on edges for adequate moisture

HOW OFTEN DO YOU MOISTURIZE YOUR EDGES OR ARE YOU GUILTY OF NEGLECTING THEM?

The answer to my last post was A. Prepoo/Aloe Vera.

I did a prepoo using Aloe Vera and EVOO, covered and went out to finish a job. By the time I came back my hair has really absorbed the mixture leaving my hair so soft and manageable.
Look how long my hair is now... Wowuu😱

HOW LONG DO YOU CARRY YOUR PREPOO ON YOUR HAIR?

There is a saying that goes "YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT". I mean your diet has an impact in hair growth so be mindful of what you put in your body.
Hair needs a variety of nutrients and vitamins to be healthy and grow and theses nutrients and vitamins are found in our Foods, Fruits and Vegetables etc

⚡Vitamin A: Hair is the fastest tissue in our body and hence requires vitamin A to grow. It aids the skin to produce sebum and this sebum moisturizes the scalp and helps keep hair healthy. Deficiency in Vitamin A leads to hair loss.

⚡Vitamin B: One of the best known vitamin for hair is Biotin. But the importance Vitamin B is to help carry oxygen and nutrients to your scalp, which aids in hair growth.

⚡Vitamin C: Vitamin C also helps your body absorb iron, a mineral necessary for hair growth. Your body needs vitamin C to create a protein known as collagen. The production of collagen in the body can help prevent hair from aging.

⚡Vitamin D: Research shows that low levels of Vitamin D are linked to Alopecia. Also Vitamin D may help create new hair follicles. Good sources of Vitamin D are direct morning sunlight, cod liver oil etc

⚡Vitamin E: Vitamin E help prevent Oxidative stress and boost hair growth. It also plays similar role with Vitamin C which slows or prevents hair from aging.

⚡Iron: This is an important nutrient that aids hair growth, it helps red blood cells to
Carry oxygen to the cells that promotes hair growth. Iron deficiency is a major cause of hair loss, especially in women.

⚡Zinc: Zinc helps keep the oil glands around the follicles working properly. It plays and important role in hair tissue growth and repair. Hair loss is a common symptom of zinc deficiency.

⚡Protein: Hair is made almost entirely of Protein and so adequate eating of Protein is vital for hair growth.

In all these its common to say that deficiency in any form of these Vitamins and nutrients is one of the factors contributing to hair Loss.

Hey Curly, coily and kinky ladies. Trust we all having a great week.

Check out the finger coils I made on my hair. Like I mentioned in my previous post on hairstyles you can rock on your short hair, finger coils is one of them.

One of the things you don't know about me is that I love anything that has to do with hair, from braiding down to styling. I feel so happy when I get to lay my hands on any type of hair. I'm still learning though.
Rate my finger coils on a scale of 1-10

I used flaxseed gel from to achieve this style, its easy to make. Would make a video on how I make a flaxseed gel soon.

HAVE YOU EVER DONE FINGER COILS ON YOUR HAIR BEFORE, ARE YOU WILLING TO MAKE THIS STYLE?

WHAT PRODUCT DID YOU USE TO ACHIEVE IT?

TWA stage in as much as it's liberating and cute, it can also be challenging to find protective hairstyles to rock.
In other words, its limited in styling options.

But not to worry I would be listing out hairstyles you can try out on your short hair

1. FINGER COILS - You can use either your fingers or little comb to achieve this style.

2. Bantu Knots - Personally I love this style. As short hair is concerned you cab also achieve this style on your short with added extensions to make it look bolder.

3. Wash n go - Rocking this style on your short would look so gorgeous and classy. You can achieve wash n go with a gel, styling mouse or a curling custard, though there is a techniquevin doing this style.

4. BRAIDS WITH EXTENSIONS: Could be box braids, spring twists, feed-in braids aka Ghana weaving, etc.

5. WIGS - Making sure your hair is properly moisturized and cornrowed you can freely wear your wig.

6. SLEEK BUN/PONYTAIL - This style is very simple to do. With the use of gel you can sleek down your natural hair and wear your bun or ponytail and slay😉

7. TWO STRAND TWISTS - Depending on how short your hair is you can rock this style your way. You can even achieve a twist out and form a Mohawk with it. Just be creative

8. FLAT TWIST - Very cool to rock on your short hair depending on how short it is.

9. STRAW/ROLLER SET/PERM RODS - Ladies you can't go wrong when you wear a straw curls, perm rod curls on your short natural hair. I'm looking forward to rocking this style some day.
WHICH OF THESE STYLES HAVE YOU ROCK DURING YOUR DAYS IN TWA?

Hello my Curly Coily Kinky Chics
Sorry I've been so extremely busy these days plus its not easy to create contents at times.

Today I want us to gist a lil bit😂 to ease off today's stress.
So I want us to share what our new year hair resolution was and how you've been able to accomplish them, what were the challenges you've encountered during this period?

I'll go first:

My new year hair resolution was to grow a Healthy Voluminous Hair and as well do more protective hairstyles. But along the way I found my self cut my hair to start all over again so you guys can follow my hair journey and at same time encourage others that Nigerian hair can grow to any super length😊 if only you take good care of it.
But that doesn't mean that I've left my goals for the year...in terms of Health, I'm already there while Volume is creeping in gradually soon there shall be a huge difference😉

SO IN THE COMMENT SECTION, TELL US YOUR NEW YEAR HAIR RESOLUTION AND HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE IT SO FAR, WHAT ARE YOUR CHALLENGES?

Wash day chronicles!!!

As usual I detangle during my prepoo session, here I get to detangle by combing my hair and this was the amount of hair that shredded during this process.
I won't get to comb my hair again until my next wash day, this method has been helping me since last year when my hair was long so I don't get to manipulate my hair all the time. Very soon I will start doing a protective style to hide the ends of my hair.

TODAY ROUTINE WAS:

1. Prepoo/detangle
2. Shampoo
3. Ayurvedic Mask
4. Deep condition
5. Moisturize

DID YOU HAVE YOUR HAIR WASHED TODAY? Oya let's know ourselves😄
Happy Sunday guys💕😘
