HB 1349 can change that.

Right now, women hold less than 5% of seats in the National Assembly. HB 1349 proposes 182 reserved seats for women, creating the political representation needed to drive real change.

This bill directly advances the Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Policy, which Nigeria has committed to — a policy that recognizes that women’s participation in leadership is essential for national growth, economic stability, and inclusive governance.

Day 2 in Abuja focused on the future. ⚡️

Our second day of Entertaining Change was all about AI, creativity, and the evolving role of technology in storytelling. The conversations were honest, practical, and deeply reflective.

A central theme emerged throughout the room:
AI is still human-dependent.
Its impact, good or harmful, is shaped entirely by the intention, values, and vision of the humans guiding it.
Much like our researchers and implementers who presented their innovative work.

We explored real use cases, talked about access, opportunity, and ethics. We also discussed how AI can strengthen creative work, expand capacity, create jobs and skills for filmmakers, young talent, and storytellers across Nigeria.

The energy was curious and collaborative, with everyone aligned on one thing:
When humans lead with purpose, creativity, and integrity, AI becomes a tool for growth and not a threat.
