With a PhD in Tourism Leadership from the University of Surrey, Adun has over ten years of research and advisory experience in infrastructure, tourism and sustainable development projects in sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. She is passionate about tourism as a tool for sustainable development with its focus on socio-cultural development and potential for contributing to national identity. She has significant work and research experience in the Travel & Tourism industry and has advised on global policy issues in the leisure and tourism sector, including the leisure element of urban planning and development, especially with regards to sustainable urban planning given the nature of cities as being places for work and play. Adun has worked on funded grant projects as well as commercially funded projects and has a keen ability to evaluate the feasibility of proposed interventions, together with the economic, social and environmental impacts of projects. Dr. Adun also offers business strategy sessions to executives, entrepreneurs and MSMEs in the tourism and creative industries.
