Job Description: Part-Time Contract Robotics Instructor
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time contract Robotics Instructor. As a Robotics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching robotics classes to children, utilizing Arduino-based projects. This position provides an opportunity to inspire and educate young minds about the exciting world of robotics.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and interactive robotics classes for children, at junior secondary school level.
2. Teach students how to build and program robots using Arduino-based platforms and electronic kits.
3. Provide hands-on demonstrations, guidance, and technical support to students during class sessions.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
5. Maintain a safe and organized classroom, ensuring that all equipment and materials are properly set up and functioning.
6. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
7. Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to continuously improve the curriculum and teaching methods.
Qualifications:
1. HND/ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in robotics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
2. Strong knowledge and experience with Arduino-based projects and programming.
3. Previous experience teaching or mentoring children, preferably in a classroom or group setting is a plus.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and parents effectively.
5. Organizational skills to plan and deliver lessons effectively, manage resources, and assess student progress.
6. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance on problem-solving.
7. Familiarity with STEM education principles and hands-on learning approaches.
