Before you speak, take a moment to read the room.

Yes, your slides and notes are important. But so is your audience—the people.

The energy in the room will often tell you more than your script ever could because good communication is not just about choosing the right words—it is about knowing when to say them and how to say them.

As a speaker, when you pay attention to tone, timing, and the unspoken cues, your message lands with ease. But when you don’t, even well-prepared words can feel out of place. And so will you.
