When I say “No one gets rich raising broilers in their backyard,” people come out swinging.
One says, “I built my house with backyard broilers, so stop lying.”
Another shouts, “I paid college fees with chickens at home. Do your research.”
Then someone beams, “I started with 50 birds, now I’m at 250! I’m rich!”
Listen…
Check this picture.
This is Nampo Harvest Day 2024 in Bothaville, Free State SA. One of the biggest agri-expos on the continent.
Grain SA confirmed:
91 private planes. 21 helicopters.
That’s how real farmers pull up.
Now ask yourself these questions:
When will YOU attend such a serious farming event in your brand-new Land Cruiser?
Let’s not even talk about the private jet—just the basics.
Do you think these people are raising 250 broilers in a shack behind their house?
Backyard hustling is not wealth creation. It’s survival.
It’s a starting point—not a destination.
Don't get me wrong, starting small is not bad, but if you seek Sustainability that will outlive you, then you must the forward think with Forsight.. One of the major problem facing Nigeria economically - is food insecurity, an opportunity that presents itself for individuals like you and me to fill.
Your small mind is your biggest poverty.
You think paying school fees and buying a plot is wealth.
That’s why you walk around like you’ve “arrived” with your legs spread like you own a continent.
Sit down. Learn. Scale. Evolve.
The future belongs to:
Those who study the game.
Those who leave the backyard.
Those who stop being romantic about poverty-level results.
You’re on the right page if you’re tired of crumbs and ready for the cake.
