"WHAT IS A MELODIC MINOR SCALE?"
The melodic minor scale is a unique version of the minor scale that gives melodies a smoother, more flowing sound, especially when moving upward.
It combines the natural minor’s depth with the brightness of the major scale.

Unlike most scales, the melodic minor scale is different when going up (ascending) and when coming down (descending).

* Ascending: Raise the 6th and 7th notes by a half step
* Descending: Return to the natural minor form
