When Emeka decided to buy his first plot of land, he made a mistake.

He told everyone.
His friends laughed.

His relatives discouraged him.

Some told him he was wasting money.

Others said the area was too far it bush, a forest, lion could be there. (Funny😊)

A few even advised him to spend the money on a new car instead.

THE CURSE OF TENANCY – EMEKA'S STORY

Emeka was 38 years old.

Every year, he made the same promise to himself:

"Next year, I won't be paying rent again."

But next year always came with another rent payment.

His grandfather was a tenant.

His father was a tenant.

Now Emeka had become a tenant too.

The painful part wasn't the rent itself. It was the uncertainty that came with it.

One morning, his landlord increased the rent by almost 40%.🤕

Emeka was shocked.

He argued.

He begged.🥲

He complained.

But at the end of the day, he had no choice.

The house wasn't his.

The decision wasn't his.

The future wasn't his.

That night, he sat alone and asked himself a difficult question:🤔

"How long will this continue in my family?"

For years, Emeka believed he needed millions before investing in land.
