The world has changed, and the future now belongs to those who are digitally equipped. In this age of IT evolution, conventional university education alone is no longer enough; our youths must be tech-savvy to compete and succeed in the new global order.

From backend development to web design, from artificial intelligence to digital innovation, technology has taken over every sector of life. Yet, despite these endless opportunities, Oredo West has not done enough to educate and position its youths for this digital revolution.

This is unacceptable.

I, ONAGHISE OSARETIN DANIEL-ERO, believe that empowerment goes beyond words it must be practical, strategic, and future-driven. My vision is not just to empower our youths with digital knowledge, but to provide them with the tools, training, mentorship, and opportunities they need to become professionals and leaders in the tech industry.

I will work to ensure that Oredo West becomes a recognized hub for digital skills, innovation, and youth excellence a constituency where talent is nurtured, ideas are transformed into opportunities, and our young people can compete confidently with the best in the world.

A hungry people cannot build a prosperous community, and a constituency that neglects agriculture is preparing itself for hardship. Oredo West has fertile minds, strong hands, and untapped opportunities, yet many leaders have ignored the power of agriculture as a tool for wealth, jobs, and food security.

For too long, our farmers have been neglected, our youths left unemployed, and our local economy weakened by poor planning and empty promises. We cannot continue like this.

Oredo West deserves leadership that understands that agriculture is not just about farming it is about survival, empowerment, and economic freedom. It is about turning our land into wealth, creating opportunities for our youths, supporting local farmers, and building a future where no family goes to bed hungry.

That is why I call on all sons and daughters of Oredo West to unite and stand with ONAGHISE OSARETIN DANIEL-ERO for the Edo State House of Assembly.

The recent publication is a clear attempt to mislead the public with half-truths and create unnecessary division within our constituency. Such narratives do not reflect the true political reality of Egor/Ikpoba-Okha.

For the records:

There has never been any formal zoning or gentleman agreement guiding who emerges as candidate.

The process has always been open, competitive, and determined by party members.

Both Egor and Ikpoba-Okha have actively participated and produced representatives over time through free and fair primaries.

What is important at this moment is balance, fairness, and political reality:

The current representation and recent candidacies have come from Egor, which naturally raises conversations around inclusiveness.

Ikpoba-Okha, as a major voting bloc with significant electoral strength, remains critical to victory in the constituency.

This is not about division, but about strategic thinking and electoral success. The focus should be on presenting a candidate with:

°Proven grassroots connection

°Wide acceptability across both LGAs

°Strong capacity to win the general election

Egor and Ikpoba-Okha are one people with shared political and cultural ties. Attempts to pitch one against the other must be rejected.

Clear Vision: Edo South Residents Applaud Senator Imasuen’s Free Eye Care Initiative

Residents across Edo South Senatorial District have commended Neda Imasuen for his impactful free eye care initiative, describing it as a timely and compassionate intervention that is improving lives.

Hundreds of beneficiaries gathered in Benin City on Monday to receive free medicated glasses provided through the Senator’s medical outreach programme, aimed at correcting visual impairments and enhancing overall quality of life.

Speaking at the event, a beneficiary, Stevester from Ward 2 in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area, expressed deep gratitude, noting that the intervention had significantly restored his vision.

Also sharing her experience, Mrs. Lilian praised the initiative, stating that it came at a critical time and helped prevent a potential loss of sight. She commended the Senator’s dedication to the health and wellbeing of his constituents.

Favour Uwanbor, a health officer from Uhunmwonde Local Government Area, lauded both the initiative and the professionalism of the medical team. She called on other political leaders to replicate such impactful programmes that directly benefit the people.

Organisers revealed that a second phase of the free medicated glasses distribution will take place soon, as part of ongoing efforts to expand access to quality healthcare across Edo South.

The outreach further reinforces Senator Imasuen’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery and promoting a healthier society through strategic and people-focused interventions.
