The Power of Utilization - Matthew 25

Utilization is the action of using something, i.e. making practical and effective use of it. Put simply, the term refers to the use of something or the process of using it effectively. In business, utilization may also refer to the percentage of available time that a machine, device, or employee is actively working. We can also use the term for a fraction of the available time that a system is operating.

In the parable of the talents, scripture tells us of three servants who were entrusted with resources, in biblical terms called talents. Two of the servants utilized the talents and doubled what they were given. The servant given the lowest trust, apparently buried the talent thereby making the Master angry.

Whatever God gives you is not to be stored but sowed, for what is not utilized would be withdrawn. Anything God has given you, time, talents and treasures is meant to be utilised and not kept underground. God is happy with you taking risk instead of playing safe.

Utilizing what God gives you, creates an avenue for God to increase your use of resources, because fulfilment is a product of utilization.

Are you utilizing what’s entrusted to you?

Freedom is Responsibility - Galatians 5:13

Freedom, generally, is having the ability to act or change without constraint. Something is "free" if it can change easily and is not constrained in its present state. For the person, people or place who is unwilling to grow up, if they do not carry their own weight, they would lose their right to liberty. Freedom without responsibility is chaos.

Scriptures instructs that every believer has been called to freedom but must ensure that the liberty is not used as an opportunity for gratifying the sinful nature.

If we do not use our advantages in serving others we ultimately would lose our freedom, either as a person or as a people.

Responsibility allows freedom to produce opportunities, personal, economic and national. Absence of responsibility births self indulgence which leads to a loss of freedom.

Abuse of freedom is truncating a future, whereas taking responsibilities in freedom births greatness. When the children of Israel got freedom without boundaries they turned to base behavior and a person, people or nation that refuses responsibility becomes base.

Are you taking responsibilities even in your freedom?
