Every Scar Has a Story
An old man sat quietly on a bench, staring at the scar on his hand.
A young boy noticed it and asked, “What happened to your hand?”
The old man smiled and said, “Every scar has a story.”
He rolled up his sleeve and pointed to another scar.
“This one reminds me of a mistake I made when I was young. This one reminds me of a battle I thought I would never survive. And this one reminds me of the people I lost along the way.”
The boy looked at him and asked, “Do the scars still hurt?”
The old man replied, “Sometimes. But not because of the wound. They hurt because they remind me of the pain I once lived through.”
He looked at the boy and said, “Never be ashamed of your scars. They are proof that you survived something that tried to break you.”
Because every scar carries pain.
Every scar tells a story.
And every story is a reminder that healing is possible.
