UNDERSTANDING MARGIN AND LEVERAGE IN TRADING

What is Margin?
Margin is the amount of capital a trader must provide to open a leveraged position. It acts as a security deposit or collateral to cover potential losses. In crypto, margin is usually expressed in terms of the base asset (like BTC or USDT).

What is Leverage?
Leverage is the use of borrowed funds to amplify a trade’s size and potential outcome. It allows traders to control a larger position with a smaller amount of capital. Leverage is expressed as a ratio, like 2x 5x, 10x, or even up to 100x on some exchanges.
