We wrapped up our training and did a community outreach on the 22nd of August 🤭🤭.

The young ladies I trained for a period of 12 weeks Invited people from their community and offered free hair services to them.

This was an opportunity for them to practice in real time, all they've been learning and my oh my, they did blow my mind.

I'm so glad and fulfilled to must have gone on this journey with this girls. I'm glad that I'm somehow part of their story.

Lend me 3 mins and 45 secs of your time, let me carry you through six weeks of training these young ladies on how to braid.

The last video captured the first day of the training and this one captures the day after that, down to 6 weeks later.

This is how far we've come and this is how much we've learnt.
6 more weeks and these ladies would be ready to launch into their community to begin offering hair services.

BraidsByGraciee did her first ever skill acquisition training, conducted as a NYSC Community development Service (CDS) project.
The training began on the 1st of June, 2026 with about 20 participants and lasted for a period of 12 weeks.

It's always being my desire to use my skill to impact the teenage girl and my service year was a great opportunity for me to begin to do that.
I want to say a big thank you to NYSC for the platform and to the partner/sponsor organisation Life Helpers Initiative for stepping in to sponsor the training.

Like I said, the training is for a 12 weeks period and this video captures the first day of the training.

I'll be sharing more updates on the progress I've made with the ladies.
