They are the first set of soldiers that noticed the injustice and corruption in the Nigerian Army while fjghting Boko haram in the North East in 2014 , they are the first soldiers that fought vehemently against Boko Haram, but later discovered how some generals never wished the fight to end , these soldiers stood their ground and refused to be used as bait, BOOOM!! they became the enemy of the state. Arrestedd and jailed for years but were later pardon by the administration of President Buhari and later were dismissed without compensation
Some of them are now local shoe makers , fishermen ,traders pastors etc , the country they served with passion and zeal , serves them breakfast, the Boko Haram who are the destroyers of the nation are being rehabilitated and compensated

Below is a short list of top army officers who have lost their lives while defending Nigeria against the terrorists in the last few years.. The recent death of Brig-Gen Oseni Braimah has generated an outcry as many ask, How long will this carnage last?

Commanding Officer 202 Tank Battalion (He was killed on October 17,, 2025)

●LT. COL. MOHAMMED Commander 272 Tank Battalion (January 2026)

●LT. COL. S.I. ILIYASU
Commanding Officer 222 Battalion (He was killed on March 9, 2026)

●LT. COL. UMAR FAROUQ

EJIGBO DISASTER

On September 26, 1992 Nigerian Air Force C-130H Hercules with serial number 911 crashed in Ejigbo, Lagos.

The aircraft, which crashed into a canal shortly after taking off from Murtala Muhammed International Airport was carrying over 150 senior military officers returning to Kaduna, with no survivors

They were young officers all commissioned and they were the finest of their era. The nation lost them. While we thought then that it could perhaps be the last of such bitter loses, we never knew that the worst was coming our way.

Indeed, we are presently witnessing the worst. Not by accident but our leaders and the led are just watching as the finest of our soldiers are being killed by terrorists branded bandits by Late President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sadly, these soldiers according to reports were the ones taking on the terrorists headlong abd sacrificing everything within their powers to defend their fatherland and save their compatriots.
