76 children and young adults were recently arraigned in court by Nigerian government for involving in 'end bad governance' protest in August, 2024.

The accused were protesting against insecurity, hunger and lack of proper education as well as government's inability to handle same.

Abducted students regained freedom!!

The primary and secondary school students were abducted on March 7, 2024 and taken to Zamfara State.

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says the abducted Kuriga students were rescued through coordinated search and rescue operation conducted by the military in collaboration with local authorities and government agencies.

Many more children are getting DEMOTIVATED to learn.

They lack the enthusiasm and drive to learn.

They lack commitment and inspiration to take positive actions towards their studies.

The issue of demotivation is most common among the secondary students.

Though the younger learners are also catching the bug gradually .

No matter how good a teacher is,

once a child is not motivated to learn, there's no magic that a teacher can do for the child to comprehend and retain knowledge.

And since a demotivated child lacks commitment towards learning, his or her parents will keep complaining that the child is not improving.

So, you can see that the first task of the teacher is not teaching right!

The first task is getting the learners motivated to learn.

Sit under a leaking roof

Resilient to get education

Driven daily to school

Or a ventilated room
Else he leaves the school
He is a hard-working youth

I go to school in the morning
Work in the farm after school
Or go Hawking
Else my tuition fee won't be paid

He go to recreation centres in the evening
But his tuition fee paid timely
He is a hard-working youth

Starve myself to get education
I starve myself to make savings
I fast and pray to get admitted

He leave in luxury in school
He eat imported food
He lavish but have more
He is a hard-working youth

I am a Nigerian
I hate crime
I hold my pen or hoe
I serve the nation for a year
I also serve for some years
I am asked to go to the street
Because I am a lazy youth

He is also a Nigerian
He loves crime
He carry guns or charms
He kills the citizens
He also destroy the properties
He is given amnesty
Because he is a hard-working youth.
