ON GIVING & RECEIVING...
Truthfully, many persons are facing tough time now. Feeding is a luxury to them and satisfying other needs is but futuristic hopeful hope.
Thus, many are merely leaning on "Shoulders" in order not to collapse finally.
But because of the economic reality of unexplainable INFLATION in the country, almost any amount received from loved ones seems LESS VALUABLE; of the truth, the money's purchasing power is so weak!
But then, lets look at it from another perspective. Imagine that you contacted a friend or family member to assist you financially and s/he sends you 3k. It may appear so small isn't it? What can it buy or do for you really?
Well, lets also imagine that s/he earns 70k a month (or less). It then means that s/he work a WHOLE day for you!
Hear me, that very 3k means that the fellow woke up early, bathed, dress up, hustle through the traffic, got to work, performed all duties assigned, without eating drinking anything, closed for the day and was paid for the day.
Without touching a dine out of the day's pay, finds his/her way home. Without using any part of that day's wage to feed or buy toiletries, he/she hands over the WHOLE SUM to you!
Sacrificial, isn't it?
Are you asking how do I know that the persons pay a day is ABOUT 3K?
Let me explain, a regular month has 31 days. Take away 8 days representing the 4 Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) in a regular month that the person does not go to work, you will be left with about 23 WORKING DAYS.
Then divide 70k by 23 days. You will be having about 3k (actually 3,043.5 - Three Thousand, forty three Naira and Five kobo)
Is it more valuable from this angle?
They are not giving out of surplus but out of love and care.
I talk am again, no be who get dey give oh, na person wey get good charitable heart dey give especially at a time like this.
Be appreciative no matter what
