FARMER GOV. BAGO PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO PERM.SEC. NIGER STATE PENSION BOARD JOANNA PADA OVER SON'S LOSS.

The executive governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has paid condolence visit to the family of the Permanent Secretary Niger State Pension Board, Jonna Pada over the demise of her son, Paul Yisa Pada.

Farmer Bago who commiserated with the family of the deceased in Minna said, he was shocked and devastated when he heard about the demise of Paul.

He however urged the family to take it in good faith and remain resolute in prayers as death is a natural phenomenon which every soul must taste.

Farner Umaru Bago said, as faithfuls, they should believe in destiny even as he admitted that it is not always easy for parents when they lose a loved one.

The farmer governor prayed that God continues to comfort the family over the great loss and encouraged them to be courageous and remain strong in faith.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the father of the deceased, Mr. Patrick Pada appreciated the farmer governor for the kind gesture and for being there for the family in trying times.

FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO RECEIVES FORMER PDP STATE CHAIRMAN BARR. TANKO BEJI AND OTHER DECAMPEES INTO APC .

The executive governor of Niger State,farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has officially received the former PDP State Chairman Barr.Tanko Beji along four other former PDP bigwigs and their supporters who decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.

The other bigwigs welcomed to the APC fold at the Government House Minna include former PDP Zonal Chairman and State auditor Mamman Labo Suleje, former PDP aspirant house of representatives for Suleja/Gurara/Tafa federal constituency Yakubu Idris, former PDP State youth leader, Zakari Kwasau and many other supporters.

Farmer Umaru Bago who expressed excitement with the decision of the former PDP Chairman Tanko Beji and other decampees to join the ruling APC said, their decision will further strengthen the APC's stronghold in the State because of their proven capacity and experience in politics

The farmer governor assures them that they will all be given equal opportunities in the party in their quest of supporting the renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ideals of APC as a whole.

He appreciated them for believing in the transformational ideas of the President and the new Niger agenda and requested that Barr. Tanko Beji be part of his team as the North-Central Zonal Coordinator for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council and deliver the North Central for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Farmer Umaru Bago equally advised them to register themselves through the portal of the APC and enjoy equal benefits among other party faithfuls.

In his remarks, the former PDP Chairman, Barr.Tanko Bejin said they joined the All Progressives Congress APC because of the remarkable achievements of the farmer governor and his people oriented policies that have transformed the lives of the citizenry.

He said he is in the APC with an open mind and in the spirit of peace, expressing his desire to support and contribute to the good works of the present administration.

Barr. Beji pledged his full support to the party and assured that he is ready to work closely with other members to strengthen the party and contribute to the continued development of the State.

The State APC Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi described the decamping of Barr. Beji and other top former PDP bigwigs in the State as a great victory for the State APC as their wealth of experience in politics will play a great role in the party's success at next year's polls.

He used the forum to call for everyone's support towards the reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bago through rigorous campaigns.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of APC party membership cards to Barr. Beji and other decampees.

GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO LEADS GOVERNMENT DELEGATION TO THREE DAY FIDAU FOR LATE NPC CHAIRMAN, DR. AMINU YUSUF

The executive governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago led the State government delegation to the three day Fida'u for late Chairman, National Population Commission, Dr. Aminu Yusuf held at the Minna Central Mosque.

Chief Imam of Minna, Malam Isah Jibril who led the prayer session prayed that Allah in his infinite mercy forgives the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him entry into Aljannat Firdaus.

Malam Jibril also prayed for the family of the deceased and for Allah to comfort them over the loss.

The Imam also prayed for other departed souls as well as for Allah to continue to guide the farmer governor in steering the affairs of the State.

The farmer governor also led the delegation to the family residence of the deceased where he commiserated with them and offered words of encouragement.

He described the passing of late Dr. Aminu as destiny from Allah and urged them to remain steadfast in offering prayers for the repose of his soul.

The farmer governor equally paid a visit to one of the wives of the deceased who is recuperating at a hospital.

INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE TUNJI DISU VISITS FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO; REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO RESCUING BORGU KIDNAPPED VICTIMS

The Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force in rescuing all abducted victims in Borgu Local Government Area.

The IGP stated this when he paid a visit to the executive governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago at the Government House Minna.

IGP Disu assured all Nigerlites and families of victims that the Police Force is working tirelessly to ensure that they bring back all their loved ones in the hands of the bandits even as he acknowledged that the police is working closely with other security agencies with series of meetings and intelligence sharing to achieve desired goals.

The Police boss also revealed that the Police is making significant progress and used the medium to appreciate the farmer governor for his cooperation and all the support he has been extending to the Niger State Police COMMAND.

In his response, the farmer governor apprecaited the IGP for the visit and for the prompt action taken to rescue the kidnapped victims.

Farmer governor Bago who was represented by his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba also commended President Bola Tinubu for his timely and fatherly intervention through his directive to the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies for rescue operation.

He again used the medium to advocate the use of non-kinetic approach as a complimentary tool to the kinetic approach deployed as means of ending the incesant cases of banditry and other terrorist activities.

The farmer governor reiterated his administration's resolve to continue to support the Nigeria Police and other security agencies in stemming the tide of criminal activities.

Farmer Umaru Bago also commended the tireless efforts of the Niger State Police Commissioner, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman in addressing security challenges in the State especially his role in drastically reducing the menace of miscreants.

NIGER STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR LEADS GOVERNMENT DELEGATION TO THE FUNERAL PRAYER FOR LATE NPC CHAIRMAN, AMINU YUSUF

The Niger State deputy governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba led a high powered government delegation to the funeral prayer for the late Chairman, National Population Commission, Dr. Aminu Yusuf.

The funeral prayer which was held at the Minna Central Mosque and was led by the Chief Imam of Minna, Malam Isah Jibril was attended by several hundreds of symphatizers.

Farmer governor Mohammed Umaru Bago was represented by his deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba who led a delegation that included the Head of Service Abubakar Sadiq Idris,
Chief of Staff to the Governor, Abdullahi Usman Gbatamangi, Commissioners and some House of Assembly members.

Emir of Minna, Umar Faruk Bahago, former deputy governors of Niger State, Muhammad Ahmed Ketso and Amb. Musa Ibeto, former Minister of Sports, Alhaji Sani Ndanusa, APC Vice Chairman North Central, Mu'azu Bawa Rijau and the State APC Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi were also among several other eminent personalities that attended the funeralprayer.

The farmer governor through his deputy offered words of encouragement to the family members and friends of the deceased and urged them not to relent in praying for the late Dr. Aminu Yusuf to have Allah's mercies.

He comforted the family and urged them to take solace in the fact that late Aminu lived a life worthy of emulation and he was loved by many people as attested to by the large crowd that came to pay their last respect.

The State government delegation also moved to the Ungwan Daji Muslim cemetery Minna where the remains of the late Aminu Yusuf were laid to rest.

The Chief Imam of Minna, Malam Jibril Isah again led the prayers offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for other departed souls.

FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO MOURNS THE DEATH OF CHAIRMAN, NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION, DR. AMINU YUSUF.

The executive governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago condoles with the family of the Chairman, National Population Commission, Dr. Aminu Yusuf who died after a brief illness.

The farmer governor in a condolence message through his Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim describes Dr. Aminu's death as a great shock and a collossal loss to the State and the Nation as a whole .

Farmer Umaru Bago notes that Dr. Yusuf’s vast experience, competence, and commitment to public service will greatly be missed at a crucial time when his services are needed to undertake the long awaited national census.

He says, Nigeria has indeed lost an icon whose wealth of knowledge in demographic research, data management, and policy implementation would have been applied for better national planning and development.

The farmer governor also extends his heartfelt condolences to the family of late Dr. Aminu and encourages them to remain strong even in the face of this trying time of losing a man whom he describes as dedicated family man full of compassion and down to earth.

Farmer Umaru Bago prays that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, illuminate and widen his grave, and grant him entry into Aljannat Firdaus.

He acknowledges the fact that he has indeed lost a rare gem and one of the finest brains in Niger State and only hopes that Allah accept all his good deeds and reward him abundantly even in death.

The late Chairman, National Population Commission, Dr. Aminu Yusuf was appointed last year by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the recommendation of the farmer governor.

He was confirmed by the Senate in October 2025 before assuming office in December 2025.

The late Dr. Aminu Yusuf who also holds the traditional title of Talban Wushishi upon assumption of Office had plans to conduct a credible, technology-driven national population and housing census in Nigeria before his demise.

NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT DETERMINED TO RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN BORGU.

Niger State Government says it is not leaving anything to chance to ensure the rescue of the Dakare kidnapped victims.

The Commissioner for Homeland Security, Barr. Maurice Magaji, stated this during an interaction with newsmen on security situation in the State.

He said the Government is working closely and providing the necessary support to ensure the safe rescue of the kidnapped victims.

Magaji who noted that addressing security challenges needs collaboration by all stakeholders, called on the media to continue to synergize with government and security agencies in the fight against banditry.

He also enjoined the citizens to also support government and security efforts by providing useful information on suspicious activities or movement around them.

The Commissioner said no government can achieve any meaningful development without security.

He said the State Government, in collaboration with the security, decided to come up with the security situation information room, where updates on security challenges would be provided to the newsmen.

The commissioner said the platform will also serve as feedback mechanism to have effective security outcomes.

Also speaking, the Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State Command SP Wasiu Abiodun disclosed that there has been mobilization and deployment of Police security personnel by the Inspector General of Police including tactical teams, counter- terrorism units, police air wing, and other police tactical bodies to coordinate the rescue operation in collaboration with other security agencies .

The Police spokesman also disclosed that the AIG Zone 7 is on ground to coordinate both command operational asset, police operational asset, and the State asset where all of them will be put together to ensure that rescue operation is intensified and victims are rescued in a short period of time.

SP Abiodun revealed that the specific number of those kidnapped has not been ascertained, however security agencies are working with the community members in order to be able to verify the total number of victims affected.

SP Abiodun also acknowledged that the State Government has been assisting with all the necessary logistics towards ensuring that the victims are rescued within a short period of time and that rescue operation has already commenced.

He also revealed that the Police tactical team in Agwara has recovered the co**se of the District Head of Gallah,Agwara Local Government Area and that investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the killing.

While answering questions from newsmen on when the victims will be rescued, the PPRO described rescue operation as a very delicate and technical job that has to be carried out with caution adding that, it requires analysis of intelligence and strategies to be put in place to ensure that the victims are rescued unhurt.

Niger State Governor Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago expresses sadness over the killing of the village head of Galla in the Borgu Emirate of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf.

The deceased, who was also a brother to the minister of state for agriculture and food security, Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, was said to have been killed by bandits in his palace.

In a condolence message, the Farmer Governor says the killing of the village head in his palace is the demonstration of boldness and high level of insolence by the bandits.

The Farmer Governor tasks security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are not only apprehended but also prosecuted.

The Farmer governor commiserates with Sen. Sabi Abdullahi, the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Galla Village and the entire Borgu Emirate over the demise of the village head.

He enjoins them to be comforted that the deceased lived a good life and died in defending his subjects.

The Farmer Governor prays that Allah will make Aljanna Firdausi the final abode of the deceased and comfort all the bereaved.

He further assures his support to the deceased's family, Galla Village, and the entire Borgu Emirate.

EID-EL-MAULUD: FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO CALLS FOR RENEWED PRAYERS FOR THE NATION.

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago calls for renewed prayers for the peace and sustainable development of Niger State in particular and Nigeria in general.

In a message to mark the Eid-El-Maulud, the Farmer Governor congratulates all Muslim Ummah.

He notes that Eid-El-Maulud celebration which is the celebration of the birth of prophet Mohammed (SAW), emphasised that the period is not only for celebration but also for deep reflection and supplication by all Muslims for a better society.

The Farmer Governor also urges the Muslim Ummah to emulate the virtues of humility, sacrifices, compassion, kindness, integrity, and justice, among others, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet.

He also enjoins them to uphold the significance of the celebration, noting that the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) brought about guidance and divine revelation of the Holy Quran to humanity.

The Farmer Governor reaffirms his commitment to sustaining the strides already recorded to achieve a prosperous state.
