An employee made a negative comment about their company, aside this , she was seen in comment sections doing the same thing.

Yes it is true that everyone has the right to expression, so in this case what would you do as an employer.

An employee slightly inflated a receipt for reimbursement or for whatever reason but definitely not for the company's benefit. And No one noticed.

So they did it again and again and overtime, it became a pattern.

Eventually, an audit revealed inconsistencies.

Now the organization faces a difficult question:
Is this a minor offense… or a serious breach of integrity?

Now the thing is , when it comes to financial dishonesty, even small actions can erase trust completely.

And trust, once broken, is hard to rebuild.
As an HR manager, a business or intending business owner what would you do?
My Name is Amalinweze Chinaza Winner, a final year public administration student and I am here to raise up possible questions and outcomes to make you think and possibly prepare for a situation like this.

Gossips in the office.

Every office has that one person who always has “information” about everyone else.

Ngozi doesn’t see it as harmful or maybe she does who knows 🤷. But slowly, her words are creating divisions

1: Colleagues no longer trust each other
2: Teams are becoming fragmented
3: Morale is dropping

What seems like gossip can quietly destroy workplace culture.

And the worst part? It spreads faster than facts.

At what point does gossip become misconduct?

And how should it be handled without escalating the issue on ground?

what would you do in this situation?

Two employees began a relationship but kept it secret.
For months, everything seemed fine until they brokeup.

Now, they avoid each other completely.

Meetings are tensed, Communication has broken down and team productivity is dropping because two key members can’t collaborate.

The rest of the team is feeling the impact.

Office relationships aren’t uncommon yes, but when they go wrong, the consequences can affect the entire organization.

Should companies regulate workplace relationships more strictly?

Or focus on managing the aftermath?

what would you do in this situation.

Tunde is very diligent and brilliant at his job.
He consistently meets targets, delivers results, and even helps others when needed.

But there’s one problem "he’s always late.

Not once or twice. Almost every day.
And when questioned, he casually says " but I dey do my job na" you wey come early you do pass me?
At first, management overlooked it because of his performance. But now, other employees are beginning to complain:
“If he can come late every day, why can’t we?”

And just like that , it’s no longer just about Tunde it’s about workplace fairness and culture.
And this is about to affect the company's productivity.
Now the question is:

Should performance excuse misconduct?

Or does consistency and discipline matter just as much as results?

You're expected to resolve this matter, what would you do?

Chioma didn’t think it was a big deal.

During a heated internal discussion about company restructuring, she took a screenshot and shared it with her friends on WhatsApp.
According to her, it was “Just gist,”.

But someone in that group reposted.

Within hours, confidential company information was circulating outside the organization. With captions both reasonable and unreasonable.

This became a big concern:

1: Who else has seen this?
2: What damage has been done?
3: Can employees still be trusted with sensitive discussions?
Confidentiality isn't just a policy, it is a responsibility.
In today’s digital world, one careless click can lead to serious consequences.

As an HR manager, business owner or anyone related what would you do?

Emeka called in sick on a Monday morning. He sounded weak, apologized, and said he wouldn’t be able to make it to work.

His manager sympathized. After all, anyone can be sick and deserves to take care of them selves.

But by evening, things took a turn.

A colleague stumbled on photos of Emeka at a party , laughing, dancing, and from everything Emeka is clearly not sick. By Tuesday morning, the entire office knew.

Now the issue wasn’t just absence , it was about trust and accountability.

When employees lie, even “just this once,” it raises bigger questions:

1: Can they be trusted with responsibility?
2: What happens the next time they call in sick?
3: if there's a next time, how would you tell the truth from the lie?
4: What message does this send to other employees?

One small lie can damage professional credibility for a long time.

As an HR manager, what would you do?

There was a child , who always stays alone with her head bent on her desk, I've never seen her had lunch, and I had to call her one day.

She started crying, I was thinking her parents don't give her food, but to my surprise they do.

Her parents were farmers, and everyday they cook beans and that's what they give to this little girl.
But after much bullies from her classmates, she decided not to eat again, so after closing she always open it to eat but won't be able to, because it already have an horrible smell, and as well soured, and at the end she will always pour it away on the way.

I really felt for her, that day, I have to tell them that beans is also food and will make them grow so tall.

It took her time to adjust, but I was glad she did, and she started relating with her mates.

So what I'm trying to say is, teachers are the second parents to kids, and kids tend to believe their teachers more than their parents.

Use the opportunity to also teach them morals, and keep an eye on them aswell.
